Is gallinari really better than Turner?  I'd pass on GAllinari as well.

That's a resounding YES!

We have a sf in Gigi.  We have enough guys that can stretch the floor

Gigi????

I'd say we need a substantial upgrade

People REALLY overvalue Celtics players.  Evan Turner and Gigi aren't even 1/10th the player Gallo is by any objective measure.  He would be a massive upgrade, it's just that he gets injured a lot.

Not sure why all the flack for Gallo.  He fits a need our team has, getting buckets.

Would imagine the discussion is centered on KO or Sully.  Along with Pressey or Babb I think that's all the salary we'd need to send back, making this a nice salary dump for Denver.  Is that enough for them?  Probably not.  Guessing Ainge wants to give them Turner & a pick instead, which if was the case, Denver should walk away from.

None the less, hopefully sides can each get what they need.  Gallo would fit in nicely on our team of young vets.

Exactly.

Not that Gallo is out of this world. But he's exactly the type of SF we are looking for. After last year, I don't know what anyone would see in Evan Turner other than the fact he and Gerald Wallace should be competing in a Barry White sound-a-like competition.

If that's the case than Ainge is a bigger moron than I thought.

We have a surplus of PF's. Why wouldn't he deal KO or Sully? Could be because Denver just doesn't want to deal Gallo or isn't interested in what we have

Or they are asking for picks in addition to KO or Sully.  Not sure...
Seems like there is smoke here though.

Danilo Gallinari would definitely be an upgrade over the current SF on this roster. Only negative is his penchant for injuries.

They will probably want a player who they can build around or a draft pick which gives them a shot at getting such a player.  If I were Denver, at least one Brooklyn first would have to be part of the asking price.

No Brooklyn pick. We will survive without him if that's the asking price.

Looking at our salary situation on Basketball Insiders, I don't how we can help Denver with any salary dump that they might want to do other than whichever nonguaranteed contract (Babb and Pressey) is not used in the Lee trade and our small cap space. Also, since he is an expiring contract, there really is no reason to trade him to us unless they are getting back pieces for the future. Maybe something like Olynyk, Young, Turner, and one of Pressey/Babb might work.

Yes, but I thought that some of the speculation was about Avery Bradley.  I know that AB seems expendable, but I'd hate to lose AB for DG.  I think AB's upside is better and I think AB's contract (and thus, future value) is better.    If it's Turner and Babb for DG, I think why not?  But I think DG (even healthy) is a marginal roster upgrade with little in terms of future value except via a large expiring salary.

If it was 2nds and we take him on then Id do it. I'd say Wolves first* and exemption same time team trades Turner, Pressey, and Wallace for Lee.
