Imo kings dont want Randle. But what might happen

To Kings- Clarkson, 2nd pick , 16th pick, 45th
To Lakers: Cousins, 28th
To Celtics: Randle (after medical check)

Celts lineup

Zeller/KO/Holmes
Sully/Randle/Holmes
Turner/Crowder
Smart/Young
AB

This trade makes a heck of a lot more sense than any arrangement I've seen involving Orlando, as long as you assume the kings are looking to blow it up and start over.

This sucks for the Celtics, but it also proves the Celtics don't have the assets to pull a Cousins trade. Also, this opens the window for Kevin Love signing there. Lakers getting Cousins is basically the worst case scenario as a Celtics fan.

Let's get those tanks rolling boys!

Dang, and they can still sign Rondo.

Rondo, Kobe, Randle, Love, and Cousins? That is one dangerous lineup in the West lol

That lineup is pretty flawed.  Rondo and Kobe are done...Randle is coming off a season-ending injury and hasn't proved anything yet in the NBA...Love doesn't play defense....Cousins is a nut.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Doesn't make sense for the C's.

Doesn't make much sense for the Lakers/Kings as well. We give up a 16th and 28th for last years 7th? I doubt it can be that easy to get him. If so, I'm all for that proposal.

The Kings really have no reason whatsoever to deal Cousins. I think this is just the other teams fishing and hoping Cousins gets the message and demands a trade, because that's the only way the Kings feel any pressure at all to unload him. He's young, talented, and locked up on a multiyear deal - what's the point in dealing him and starting over yet again?

In two years when he only has one year remaining on his deal and the team is still horrible, that will be the time when he becomes available.

Then why do we keep hearing he's available? I would have no doubt Kings could unload for the right price..

The people who actually matter, the Kings say he's not available.  That's the end of the story.  The rest is just rumors.  Even in the ESPN article that makes this claim they quote Divac as saying he's NOT AVAILABLE...
not available.  Writers make up rumors.

What do you think they would say if Cousins actually was available?

I really think Cousins is staying with the Kings, Divac would have a good appreciation for bigs, DMC was arguably the best, up there with Davis, big in the league. I doubt that Divac really cares for the opinions of Karl, and even DMC.

So if I am understanding this correctly, is this how this rumored scenario would go down?

Lakers get Cousins
Magic get Julius Randle.
Sacramento gets Vucevic and the no 2 pick.

If so, this actually is pretty fair for all 3 teams (though the thought of seeing Cousins in purple and gold would sicken me as I really want him in Boston.)

Lakers get a new franchise guy alongside Kobe, Orlando gets a very good young player in Randle and probably drafts Cauley Stein with their pick to replace Vucevic and Sacramento actually ends up with a nice front court of Okafor and Vucevic.

But, would this trade even work numbers wise?

I am assuming it would probably have to wait til after July 1st when all off the Lakers free agents are off the book as right now they have no cap space.

I would ask more if I'm the Magic. Maybe the Lakers' #27 pick along with it. They're basically replacing Vucevic, a walking double-double with Randle, who may have potential but is unproven.

I'd ask for the #27 with it. Lakers will be getting a top 10 player and is young, I'm sure they won't mind giving that pick.

No surprise the Lake show wants him but I just can't see them getting the deal done.  For what?  the #2 pick and Clarkson?  because you know the dream is for them to pair Cousins with Randle and hopefully Love next offseason.  There are plenty of other teams that can put together a much more appealing package (Us, Milwaukee, and Orlando are 3 that immediately spring to mind) were Vlade (who is the Sacto decision maker this week) to change his stance and make Boogie available, which, oh by the way, he has come out and plainly stated he will not do.

Even if the Lakers throw in Randle, and let's even say the Rockets pick in 2018, all Danny would have to do is offer Smart (or Young), Sully, the 16, a Nets pick, and a future 1st from someone else that's owed to us and then it's bye bye Lakers.

Suffice to say, the 40 year misery of that freakin' franchise out west falling ass backwards into elite big men for virtually nothing seems to FINALLY be at its end. thankfully. (*knocks on wood*)

Pretty sure there are some posters here who would happily trade that package for the #2 pick and Randle.

Why on earth would the Magic trade Vucevic straight up for Randle?  Vuc is one of the best young centers in the game. He averaged nearly 20/11 last season. The magic aren't trading him for an undersized PF that can't guard at all and that's played exactly 14 NBA minutes . I'd have to think that the 6th pick goes to Orlando in this hypothetical scenario.  The Lakers would also have to ship out another piece to Sacto, likely Clarkson, who is their only other positive asset.

Why would the magic do this trade?  Vucevic seems way more valuable than Randle right?
