I await someone starting a thread suggesting that maybe the Bucks will now view Giannis as an undesirable thug and the Celtics can buy low in a trade.
I wasn't bothered by Perk's retaliation, and I don't blame Giannis, either. The only thing is that he shouldn't be the guy to be delivering the message; if you're going to tackle Dunleavy, let a scrub do it.
His was more dangerous than Perk's hard screen, because Dunleavy was in the air. I almost think Giannis' was more like JR's cheap shot, because both of them could have really hurt the other guy. Perk's was really just a hard, shoulder-in screen.
Nah, JR's cheap shot seemingly came out of nowhere, while at least Giannis was understandably upset over two separate plays. I don't even think that he could have hurt Dunleavy on that play, honestly, but Perk's was dirty all the way, imo. God do I hate that guy, lol.
I also have no problem with what either Perk or Giannis did, but Perk's was wayyyy cleaner than Antetokoumnpo's.
On the other hand, Dunleavy has hit someone in the face at least 3 times this game, so Antetokoumnpo's was probably more warranted (despite being worse).
Neither was a true and honest basketball play, but I'd rather see either of those than an actual basketball foul that occurs when a guy is full speed jumping in the air as payback.
Gotta give both guys respect for dishing payback while making sure not to hurt the player. Perk especially though for keeping the foul on the floor.
And pushing a guy while setting a screen is at least much closer to a basketball play than hockey checking someone shooting a 3.
Both plays were cleaner than soap though compared to some of the stuff Wade has pulled in recent years.
JR's shot was way different/worse than the Perk or Giannis plays (furthest thing possible from a "basketball play"), but I still wouldn't say it was any where near as "dirty" or injury-seeking as the ones by Wade.
