Do Luigi and Jerepko have salary implications past this season?  If so....
No. Unless there are picks involved (and perhaps even if there are) this is more of a hat-tip to Prince and the Pistons type of trade.

Source: Miami sends Danny Granger, Norris Cole, Shawne Williams, Jordan Hamilton and two first-round picks to the Suns for Dragic brothers.
So Dragic & Dragic for a pile of crap and two picks. Heh.

Although this seems this is a multiteam deal, so not clear that all of those are going to PHO.

They're supposedly getting John Salmons

They got McRoberts' poison pill contract out of the deal I see, and Birdman's 1 year as well.  They'll probably try and talk Granger into not picking up his option, and then they take on no salary for next year, except for whatever they decide to do with Cole as an RFA.  Nice package all told; nothing too massive but some decent pieces.

Don't get it to be honest. DET really liked Jerebko, and SVG even said he was a huge piece to their bench due to his floor spacing.

Good trade for us anyways.

Hearing Pistons swung trade before the buzzer to reacquire Tayshaun Prince from Boston

Marc Stein

Hearing Tayshaun Prince to Detroit for Jerebko and Datome

what kind of garbage trade is that. I rather keep prince.

I remember Danny wanted to sign Datome a few seasons back for whatever reason.

Not Garbage.

Jerebko $4.5m expiring, Datome $1.8m (has qualifying offer for next season if C’s desired)

It is basically inconsequential. Prince wasn't sticking around here and was here as a placeholder stop.

If anything it is a $ thing. They saved the money they would have to spend to buy him out.

I guess Jerepko might fit into BS system so I'll reserve judgement.  Datome I literally don't think I have ever seen play so, I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a look at him.

why is it a good trade? Unless Danny sees something in Datome

Maybe buying out one or two of these guys will be a cheaper option than trying to buy out Prince.

Jarebko is a solid player according to all the advanced metrics, could be a huge steal.

Cole is being swapped for Salmons.

They make a combines $1.5 mil less per year than Prince, so maybe it was just a way to help Prince go to a better fit for him while saving a little cash?

Danny liked Datome.  This gives him a half-season try out.  If it pans out, then the C's can pick up the option.  If not, no big deal.  Datome and possibly Jerebko could be part of the future while Prince is older than dirt.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Well I don't know what the advanced metrics say, but I know what I watched and Prince was really good while he was here.  His length caused a lot of problems and he shot the open 3 well.

he sucks.  Look at his stats for the season.  18 min, 2 pts, 15 min 0 points etc.

I'm more excited about Datome and he is not a player to really get excited about
