Smart thing to do would be to have kept silent and played out the season in PHX (especially with Suns management reportedly about to trade IT to appease him before his request) then simply go to one of those teams in the offseason... why create this headache now?

He's not adding much to his value by playing defer on a team that's not going anywhere.

I can understand the not wanting to come/stay here because of Smart if he wants to be the main ball handler but the Kings would be a good option, and he'd get out of PHX, and he could walk at the end of the season... Even if it's because he wants a 5 year deal from NY or LA, no guarantee he'd get traded there... if anything I'm starting to think value is so low at this point the Suns take their chances and keep him

Schemes under Karl remain to be seen, though I do think Gay's usage rate is way too high as is. Still would be the primary guard there over PHX and be paired up with Cousins. Even if it doesn't work out though walk at the end of the season, why hamper down trades now to get you out of PHX?

If Dragic thought this type of production was helping his case, he'd stay in Phoenix. He doesn't seem to, and I can't blame him.
Quote from: kozlodoev on February 19, 2015, 09:15:30 AMDragic and Plumlee for Sullinger and Clippers 1st.have we recently heard that dragic will resign with the celtics? if not, if he still intends to leave the celtics if traded here, then why trade assets for a rental during a rebuild year?
Since sources are saying that Dragic will not be influenced by the 5th year and will not re-sign with any of the teams that are not on his preferred list,

NYC, LA, Maimi are at the top, but Boston on the list as well. SAC and HOU are def not on the list!
