Oh man, if the knicks get Jackson for the crap sandwich , I am gonna be p---ed.

Get Jackson Danny! We have enough draft picks, we need actual talent. A Jackson/Smart backcourt would be a great start.

I'm all for Jackson on this team

Not understanding this trade for OKC.

If it's Jackson, then they know they can't keep him.

James harden treatment
Dion Waiters seems like the kind of player who can torpedo a potential championship season. Not the kind of guy I expected Presti to go after.

Knicks are getting only cap relief and a trade exception in this deal, it appears.

Knicks will also get a future 2nd, per several sources.

It looks like Waiters fits into a trade exception
I'm bitter.

Supposedly the Thunder are keeping Jackson and getting Waiters for… Lance Thomas. No picks.

I mean, they're picking him up for practically nothing. But the potential conflict/cancer he brings to the team chemistry seems much greater than any help he could bring. I wouldn't chance it if I were OKC. Westbrook and Waiters both have "strong" personalities, and I just don't see them clicking.

So, wait - if this is just between the Knicks and Cavs, where does OKC fit in in such a deal (if at all)?  Waiters going to the Thunder would have made no sense.  Westbrook, Harden, and Durant couldn't play together at the same time, and Harden is a great shooter, so if Waiters was going to replace him, even off the bench, yeah, no, lol.  Shumpert is an excellent pickup for the Cavs, as is Dalembert, but who knows about Smith, haha.  What I find incredibly hilarious is that, in theory, Dion Waiters and Carmelo Anthony could play on the court together. :o ;D At the same time. :o ::) ;D WOW. :o So much for the triangle, lol. ;D I thought that Phil was going to wait until the season was over, when Shumpert, Dalembert, and Amare all come off the books, but perhaps not.  Me thinks he may be getting impatient, lol. ;D Muahahaha... I'm with Roy - what a great deal for Cleveland.  Don't you just love a bargain (sarcasm)? ;) ::) ;D

It's essentially between the Knicks and Cavs, but Waiters goes to OKC (absorbed by the Sefolosha TPE) and the Knicks get a trade exception and a second (since OKC has to send something out)
I'm bitter.

Yeah, sorry about that.  I missed everyone's updates while I was writing that post, lol.  Still - wow, to say the least.

@BitterJim: OKC is sending out Lance Thomas. The second is from the Cavs.

No doubt, especially if/when they shut down Melo

They'll have a lot of cap space, though

Add them to Philly and Minny for teams that will be impossible to catch in the tankathon.

So, the question we'll be hearing on CelticsBlog a lot over the next few days:  should Danny have taken Waiters if all it cost was a trade exception?
