So CLE is trading one knucklehead for even a bigger one?

The Knicks were really desperate to get rid of Smith.  I didn't think Cleveland would take him.  Might be an upgrade on defense over Waiters, though.

At least he is a knucklehead who can accept coming off the bench.

It makes some sense; say what you want about JR, he is a veteran and does have some experience on contenderish teams.  If you're down on Waiters' ability to grow into that role it could be an improvement.  And it's less likely Kyrie completely despises JR yet.

Along with Waiters, New York is sending Iman Shumpert to the Cavaliers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Dalembert, Smith, and Shumpert isn't too bad for the Cavs, I wonder who/what OKC is sending out, though
I'm bitter.

I find this incredibly hilarious: trading one problem player for a more experienced problem player who has been suspended many times for his shenanigans lol

Oh. I actually kinda like that for them. He can play some solid defense.

If Jackson goes to NYK, then I might actually like this trade best for them.

Shump would be a good back court pairing with Irving

If they can resign him from it, I'd definitely say so (depending what else trades hands).

Shumpert and JR  over Waiters is probably an easy decision for Cleveland.  A scoring wing who likes a bench role and a young defensive wing really helps their depth.

No way JR and Shump are going for Waiters. Must be more players involved... isn't OKC also involved in the deal? Thought they were the destination for Waiters. Otherwise, NYK getting hosed.

So Dalembert in or not? Because I don't see how the money works if he is in there too without sending someone else out from Cleveland.
