I'm pretty sure if he was better at basketball he would've seen more court time, too.

But he isn't. And he didn't. He'll play more in Boston because the expectations for the season are lower.

This and, for $3 million, I'm totally fine with it.

He wont play as much on a new team based on the fact their core is in tact. turner is a greta player but not good enough to switch up your rotation to give him 30 plus minutes. . STILL that takes nothing away from him.

Evan Turner Game 7 Sixers Celtics

Worst +/- of anyone and it was not even close

-23

3-8 shooting, 8 rebounds, 0 assists in 31 minutes
Wait a player had a bad game??  :o

The example shows what he is , the worst player on the court in +/- in many games

someone mentioned how he was a veteran leadership and he has played in a game 7 vs the Celtics before

well...

Geesh turner had another decent game. As far as verteran leadership goes. Yea he's only been i nthe league 5 years. Thats still long enough to provide example for rookies who last year were just college ball players that just turned into millionaire professionals. Game 7 is one game! Let the man live. Hes still playing better then your favorite Celtic

who is my favorite Celtic?

Celtics core is in tact?  What core?

This is still a team in flux.

This is what im talking about

People look at the box scores, and yes even watch the game and see the player doing well

Look at Smart and Rondo now, people are already starting the nonsense

My assesement of Turner is just watching him play and seeing what hes trying to do...and he is same old Turner from what I have seen from before.

He made two turnaround jumpers , both made me laugh, because I know that wont work against good teams, it just wont

I saw him throw the ball away and also dribble off his foot

Once he gets the ball , he almost never looks to his left or right, its straight ahead.

The guy is not good.

For 3 Million who cares though.

Not sure, but I thought NYC was referring to Indiana as a team with core intact -- Turner unable to break through under that circumstance.

While I find a lot of Turner's shots questionable, he makes the team a lot more fun to watch. For a bad team, that matters.

It does suck how important a role expectations play in assessing value.  If Evan Turner were an unknown and here from a stint in Europe on a 3M contract I think most would be excited about the possibility of a surprise contribution.   But as a former hyped high pick and a guy who we've seen before, Turner gets grief.   Can't we accept that he makes pretty minimal $$ for a guy who can score 10-15 a game and who has the possibility of being a trade asset with some reasonable value?

The better he does, the better for the C's.  If he bombs, it doesn't matter.  I'll be rooting for him.

Judging by this thread, apparently YOU do.
