When he ended up on a good team what happenned?

HE barely played.

Nothing has changed. I know it is only one game, but that is not even the point.

Celtics fans are to blame, when they recieve a player suddenly his potential increases over 100%.

When he was not here, everyone had at least 100 reasons why the guy is trash.

Now they flip flop.

The reality is, nothing has changed. For him one game is enough to see that he has the same game as he will always have, and his %'s are trending downward.

I like Turner at the point.
I am tired of us being the smallest team on the floor.

I like him.  He attacks the rim, he can pass, he can rebound, he defends and he can knockdown the occasional spot-up 3.

As long as he keeps the contested fadeaways to a minimum, he's a very capable rotation player.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

You just dont get it. Your still caught up int the #'s . OK it was a preason game against the worst team we get that. But his veteran leadership, you just don get that anywhere.. he helped keeps the young guys composure and you failed to realize it. THAT WOULDVE BEEN THE WORST OFFENSE  EVER JUST LIKE LAST SEASON IF TURNER DIDNT RUN THE SHOW.

Yea nothing changed.. LAST YEAR.. it has to change sometime.. its like your quick to say it wont be here in BOSTON.. ITs pure hate if you dont liek what you seen in a exibition game because if it wouldve been someone else I bet the praise would be soo high

LOL at both VETERAN and LEADERSHIP. What Veterans has he lead?

Where was his leadership on the Pacers?

The guy has no leadership, at least not yet.

In my experience "leadership" usually corrlates to shooting percentage. Same thing with "want" and "hustle".

People get mad when a player and team are losing and attribute it to lack of effort more often than not.

You clearly don't read well. I said Turners "Veteran Leadership".  He led are young  players last night. Did you even watch the game?? He was traded to the Pacers to help a back court. He wasn't in a position to help lead. Your Pacers statement is an invalid point. He's not there no more is he?? Your clearly a ET hater. I bet you think we should trade Rondo to i bet smfh

And thats exactly what Turner did last night. All I am saying was last night he was a leader to the young players. I didn't say those #'s were going to sustain the whole season. HE played hard and it showed. Not all leaders are great players by the way. LEaders might be just a locker room presence

Evan Turner is the same guy who started  trouble in that locker room because he wanted to score more to get a bigger contract..

just because you arent a leader on a team with capable players, does not mean you dont display professionalism and leadership skill.

I do not hate Turner, although I did say he was gong to be a bust when he came out. Lucy for him he has been on bad teams so he has done enough to at least look significant.

But he cannot play with good players at a high level. He is just not that good.

while yes, he's not much of a veteran, he's been there on a bad 76ers team, he's also been there when he and his team took us to a game7 back in 2012.

And yes, he also BARELY played for the Pacers in the playoffs, but I wouldn't read too much into that because that team was having major chemistry issues, and was witnessing MULTIPLE problems. Hibbert was being criticized since round 1 for his inconsistency, his play and such. Lance Stephenson is just crazy, he is just a clown. Great player, but clown nonetheless, his antics against the Heat while funny, stupid and did more harm for his team than good. I believe Evan did indeed get into a fight with Stephenson. That team was breaking down since they traded away Danny Granger.

He is still young and probably won't provide MUCH "veteran leadership" , but it is enough for the young guys, the rookies to learn how to survive in the NBA. Call him mediocre or whatever, but Turner has survived until now, he has to be at least doing something right. Heck, look at players like House, he was also a meh player, but could contribute for a contender. Or you can think of it this way, he can provide a competition for our young guys. Beat Turner to get into the rotation.

Turner is a multi-skilled guy who was asked to just score last season for the Pacers. When they finally had him running the offense rather than try to be a microwave player, he averaged 7/4/4 for the month of April. That's pretty good after being thrown into a situation where he had to completely change the way he was used to playing in Philly.

Let's not forget that he was actually putting up 21/7/4 on 46% shooting for a 16 game stretch in November in his 4th season in the NBA. His shot fell off afterwards, but the skill is clearly there. I hated the guy on Indy, but that was mainly because of what they were asking him to do. I like Stevens putting him in more of a PG role. He knows how to pass and run the offense. If you aren't asking him to score every bucket, he should be able to find his way into being a 12/5/5 kind of player, which is nice to have. He isn't just one dimension out there.

Turner is a multi-talented (10 rebs last night) multi-skilled (plays point guard if needed) multi-hyped (that's why he was picked 2nd overall).  So he is aware of multiplication.
We just need to teach him division:  cut down on 2 turnovers a game and a few errant shots!

Trust me, his play will add up!
