From what I hear Embiid's injury's are stress related and related to one another.  Proper rest and and conditioning should alleviate that extra stress on his body.
Yeah, if only it were that cut and dry.

Yao Ming was a freak of nature.  How many 7'6 players have had long lasting NBA careers? Mark Eaton? Lol. Manute Bol?

For the sake of historical accuracy, I'll jump in here and say you're wrong about Eaton and Bol in terms of career length--Eaton played 11 seasons and Bol 10 (and only once did Eaton play fewer than 79 games).

Anyone still feel that Embiid will wind up in Philly?

Yes, I think they will poop on this parade.

They are very brazen.

I think all of these mocks with Embiid going six will ultimately put us down... mocks are never correct!

And Shawn Bradley played 11 seasons too.

at this point, all these injuries are scaring me into not wanting to gamble with him, with past injuries for bigs like McHale, Greg Oden, Yao Ming, Bynum, Walton

I am torn between taking him or not

if someone takes him, it kinda makes me feel better as all eyes on whoever picks him

Oden had a degenerative knee like Brandon Roy.  Their careers were virtually over before they started. (& teammates, bad drafting)

Also hasn't he only been playing for a couple years ala Fab Melo?

Throw in Boston's top notch medical team and it seems like a no brained to take him.

I'm hoping he falls to us  ;D

we really love to act like we have the best doctors in the world on this team, and the rest of the teams in the league are operating out of a 3rd world clinic.

It's not going to happen.  It's too good to be true.

Not sure why people assume our medical staff is anything other than ordinary. Given how many of our players have had injury issues during their tenure with the Celtics, our doctors seem at best par.

When you say "top notch", I'm thinking Phoenix where they managed to turn the calcified remains of both of the O'Neals into serviceable players.

The best medical staff in the nba is in Phoenix. If that's Embiids concern then he should go there. The best doctors in the world outside of nba teams are in Boston , but they don't necessarily fix sports injuries or work for the celtics

I won't be shocked if Embiid falls to #6. The real question is, is it b/c he is really damaged goods, or is it b/c his camp has realized he's going to drop a little and is now positioning him to go the the best situation for him (which may be us). There was something the other day about his full medical report not being shared with every top team, but we were one of the few that got it. Not sure if this is true, but if so, that could mean Embiid wants to come here (good front office, great fan base, a star PG, and some of the best medical care in the country re: any issues w/ his back and foot).

It's still very possible, a big man who just suffered back problems and needed surgery for a stress fracture is very risky to take on.

I will argue that Tufts, BMC, and MGH are top notch hospitals and have some of the BEST doctors in the US. My friend who practiced in one of those hospitals said they had a surgeon that was a big name doctor.

Good news music to my ears don't care about his injury at 6 you take that gamble 8)
I said it before... I'd be completely SHOCKED if Embiid falls out of the Top 4.
and pleasantly surprised.  :)
Not necessarily... Utah would take him #5.    The idea that Embiid is still there at #6 when we pick seems almost unfathomable.  And if he actually falls that far... you have to start to wonder what's in his medical records.  If it's that bad, he might just fall out of the lottery entirely.
