Mannix said he has been told both Orlando and Utah will pass on him, so I am keeping my fingers crossed this happens .

I'll hate if I have to watch him sit on the bench in a suit with injuries the next few years but it's a chance you have to take.  If we didn't have the TPE or the ability to add another good center under the cap, I might think differently.

Ainge MUST get a starting center this off season.  Everything else is optional.

You win NBA titles with stars - Embiid has a chance to be a franchise C - If DA is comfortable with the medicals, then it's a not even a question.  The C's will probably never have access to this type of talent in the draft again....

I believe Yao tried to play through it? Embiid got this taken care of right away.  Draft him and stash him on the bench and the trainers room for a year and see you next season...

Not to mention Yao played basketball all year round. The NBA season/playoffs and then for China. I think this factored into his nagging foot injuries, no?
