IMO, in two years, Trill will be the starting C for some team, hopefully the Cs, averaging 35mins per game, and averaging 40+ppg in this league.

Mk

Rookie Prospects (I don't know if this list correct)
#6  - It's crucial that TB hits big with this pick. There will be a future 40ppg player available at #6. The question is whether TB can identify him by our Oct draft.

So wcs is taller. With a 7'2 wingspan and 9'2 standing reach

biyombo has a 7'7" wingspan and a 9'3" standing reach.

Bismack's extremely long arms are the only reason he's in the NBA. It allows hit to play C. Otherwise he would be another 6'9" guy who can't shoot.

Wcs also reportedly has a Max vertical of 37 inches.  Biyombo never participated in those camps and his data isn't available, but supposedly his max vertical is 40 inches.

I remain dubious that a 21 year old who had played 3 years of college ball at roughly the same level is going to develop into a monster... While a 22 year old NBA player fwho has shown improvement on a mismanaged team is "done developing".

Bis's stats as an NBA starter this year in 21 games were better than WCS's stats in his third year on the college level

I say it's a toss-up.  Bis might be Orlando era ben Wallace right now. Will be interesting to see what he does heading forward.

Biyombo is garbage

He's not garbage, but after 4 seasons we have a pretty good idea of who he is.

So after 3 years of wcs averaging the same stats (on the college level), why are we so convinced he can develop into a beast?  Don't college players typically show dramatic improvement over their tenure ?   I thought pretty much every big man is averaging 20 and 10 by their senior year.  Sup with Wcs's weak development?

And last I checked, the NBA is a superior level of competition. Biyombo held his own as a starter last season.  His defensive stats were improved compared to what he did his rookie season.

Yep, 4 years in the league, and almost 10 years as a pro basketball player already, and some legit questions regarding his actual age. He is what he is at this point.

And "what he is" is a guy who with minutes will get you double digit rebounds, 2-4 blocks, and act as an elite tier rim protector.  So it will be interesting which team throws a ton of money at him this summer.  Perhaps the celtics with a 4 year 40 mil offer.

So he played in Spain as a teenager and then two years of decent play for the Bobcats. Then he was put on the shelf when big al joined the team. Then the team has a priority of showcasing the big man they took 4th (zeller).  Bis started last season as an afterthought.

Quote
Biyombo?s chance to showcase his skills came in January when big man Al Jefferson went down with a groin strain prior to the New Year?s Eve game in Houston and would be out of the Hornets lineup for the next nine games. Biyombo stepped into the starting lineup and took full advantage, nearly doubling his scoring average with 6.6 points to go with 8.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 24.4 minutes of play and igniting ?Biz Nation? all over social media as fans rallied around the charismatic youngster.
As Biz?s level of play increased, so too did the Hornets as they went 10-4 (.714) in the month of January, posting the second-best winning percentage in the Eastern Conference behind only Atlanta and the fourth-best in the NBA. The Hornets led NBA in opponent scoring (89.5) by a margin of 2.1 points over second place and led NBA in opponent field goal percentage (.396) by a margin of .015 over second place. The Hornets also ranked second in the Eastern Conference and third in NBA in opponent three-point percentage (.315) and the Hornets ranked third in the Eastern Conference and fourth in NBA in blocks (6.5).

Then he got injured unfortunately and missed the next 11 games.  It took him some time to round back into form.

Quote
Biyombo returned as the team?s starting center in April with Big Al sidelined, and for the second time this season, took full advantage of the extra playing time with Jefferson out. Biyombo had his best month of the season in April, finishing with averages of 7.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 30.2 minutes through nine games.

My man bis averaged 30fp in that time.  Will be exciting to see him as the permanent starting center for a team that knows how to embrace their defensive identity.

Isn't WCS an elite athlete in the mold of Deandre Jordan? And Biyombo isn't...

Missrepresentation again. He played pro basketball since the age of 14 in various countries. This is a fact. Everyone has questioned his real age and there is no proof of it. This is also a fact. He hasn't gotten starters minutes or even rotation minutes after 4 years in the league on a poor team who could use a defensive big man. He's going to be a career bench player. He is just too limited a player, especially in today's NBA.

WCS has been sharing the ball on a college team with about 20 nab prospects. Biyombo was a very high pick of a team that needed him. Apples/oranges. Also NBA games are longer. There is more time to put up numbers.

I think a very interesting indication of what Biyombo is worth is what his own team offers him. If they make almost no offer or a small one there's your answer.
