Mychal Thompson said the source that told him about Klay trade was actually someone from ESPN.

Sorry just noticed   sed522002 posted that

Wait.

They're giving up the best player in the deal AND a lottery pick.

 ???

Do you think love is worth thompson and lee alone??

Lee is a pretty good pf.

I can't even take you seriously anymore. Are you really this biased against Love?  You're irrational hatred for him is either terribly misinformed or one of the more impressive pieces of performance art of I've ever seen

then don't.  I know your sad about this but it will turn out for the best.

I wonder if Rondo is on his way out next

If rondo goes the celtics will be horrible to watch for the next 3 years minimum, seriously who would want that?

You should become a Bucks fan.

With Rondo the past 2 seasons the Celtics have been horrible. With him being the main guy

can you stop rolling the highlights from the 2008-2011 playoffs 247 and fast forward to the present

Yeah you are right, Rondo has not been as good the past two seasons, it's almost as if he tore some kind of major ligament in his knee in 2012 and recovered from it in 2013. However we know that didnt happen.  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Seriously dude Im starting to think you are just a troll, no rational human being could want to watch more years of tank fests trotting out mediocre young guys and becoming the Denver Nuggets/Atlanta Hawks. What do you want the celtics to do? Lay it out for me. play the lottery 4 more straight years and hope we land a franchise allstar?

  • Let's Go Celtics!
you don't want to give the current lineup a chance, then you say negative stuff like Sully will never lose weight.

Sully will come into shape for next season.   You think he is at taco bell right now or something.

If you put in the effort and workout properly your body is going to change

I watched the current line up all season. I actually like Sully, but let's be real: he's an undersized low-post player with limited athleticism. I think will have a nice career, probably starter material on a solid team. But he won't be a perennial all-star. And I think he will lose some weight, but others seem to be banking on some dramatic transformation - not all bodies are the same. It's highly likely - given his history - he may always struggle with weight ala Glen Davis and to lesser extend, Zach Randolph.

Kelly Olynyk is also a nice player, but he's 23 year old rookie. He may improve some, but his difficulties with lateral quickness and athleticism will always hinder his defensive development. I think he can be a really good 6th man one day, maybe a respectable starter. But he's a role player at best.

Avery Bradley - another solid player when he plays to his strengths (pitbull defender, making good cuts to the basket, and hitting the occasional 3 pointer). The issue is if you ask him to do more than that, you get an erratic long-2-point-launcher and still can't dribble the ball past halfcourt. Oh, and his durability his a major concern.

Jeff Green - intriguing athlete who will occasionally show glimpses of something special, but will never live up to it. Best served as a 3rd or 4th option.

This is our core moving forward - unless Gordon or whoever we pick at #6 is an absolute stud, this is the definition of mediocrity. I'm not going to apologize because I don't want to sign up for that.

On Warriors-Wolves talks for Kevin Love: Trade talks are ongoing and "fluid," league source says.

Who knows where this information is coming from.  As Ford said, the T-Wolves are playing a game:  http://www.celticsblog.com/2014/6/19/5823714/nba-trade-rumor-via-chad-ford-wolves-are-playing-a-game-kevin-love

... Look, Danny, you have a boatload of assets.  The Wolves are playing a game with you.  I'm sure they are talking a lot, but pretending not to listen to you.  But you're the one with the best assets, Danny.  There's nothing you can do that can't be done.   Nothing you can say, but you can learn how to play the game.  It's easy.

triboy16f is consistent in that he doesn't want Love, dislike Rondo, and has not made his case for BOS's plans in the future, provided we don't get Love and Rondo walks.

I, like you - also wonder about triboy's reasoning.

Hahahahaha!  We are certainly not the team with the best assets.  This is an absurd myth thats been spewed on this board for three weeks now!  Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes is simply the best haul on the market and Flip gets both of them, he wins.  Simple as that.  Not one of our picks, or any of our young guys can match those two.  Not one.

"Far from a done deal," is how one involved party describes state of Love-Warriors trade talks.

Good for Golden State.  HOnestly at this point, the best course of action for Boston appears to be...

#1 - Hope that Embiid is out for a season... trade up to secure his services.  Most teams will not want to go the Philly/Noel route, but Boston can.

#2 - Trade Rondo for additional young assets.

#3 - Hang onto the rest of the youth... tank again and see what we have next Summer.

Tanking again, great

Look at how good of a spot Philly is after taking Noel and tanking.

We could trade Rondo for #7.  Pick Smart and Embiid.

Trade Green and Bass and next years Philly pick for MKG and Biyombo?

Let Bradley, Humphries walk.

A year from now Wallace will be easier to move or at least stretch his contract.

2015 you could be looking at Smart, Embiid, Olynyk, Sullinger, a top 5 pick, and tons of cap space.

Do you realize that what you're proposing is to essentially trade Rondo for Smart? And you want to let Bradley go? Say goodbye to our defense.

Making these moves would destroy Boston.

Can you provide legitimate reasons?
