perk is a bad, very bad nba player right now, and will be for the rest of his career in all probability. he adds nothing of value in terms of building a future for the celtics and would simply eat up minutes for younger players on the team, who need to develop.
lets look at this another way. given perk's sad stats, immobility, god awful offense, and bloated contract, if he had NEVER BEEN A CELTIC, who here would be clamoring for the celtics to acquire him?
this is a case of going with someone who is familiar not because they are good, but because they are familiar.
unless of course folks are advocating a grand reunion with gg, walker, our-melo
(tm), pierce, and brooks. who wouldnt want that??
