I could see MIL offering #2 and Henson, for starters.

Giannis
Love
Sanders

would be a great frontcourt and mesh very well.

And Henson at PF would compliment Pekovic's below average defense.

Don't forget, If Love doesn't want to play for MIL, he's gone after 1 year. Maybe he was checking on Boston to sign a possible Extendsion?

I don't see the Cavs, Bucks, or Sixers offering a top 3 pick for Love because he would leave at the end of the season. Don't underestimate the influence Love and his agent have in determining where he gets traded to. Love will go to the team of his choice when it's all said and done.

The Timberwolves privately maintain they already have fielded better offers from other teams, among them the Chicago Bulls, who can offer draft picks and some combination of Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson along with Carlos Boozer, whose bloated $16.8 million contract expires next summer and represents the kind of cap space rebuilding teams crave.

Seriously what kind of draft picks are enticing from them? And to play along side a mechanically repaired D Rose?

I think this is kind of obvious.

After Love took a suspicious trip to Boston people thought we were guaranteed to get him and then the conversation moved on to how we could get Melo too and Omer Asik was "all but a given".

People need to slow their role a bit and not be surprised when Boston is picking for itself at #6. I know we're all punch-drunk from an awful season but let's not begin to act like some entitled Laker fans.

Yeah sorry, but after seeing Love in Boston and then hearing all these "Love was in Boston for basketball reasons" reports, I refuse to just throw cold water on this whole situation.

Had Love never came to Boston last week, then granted, there would be nothing to talk about.

But the fact not only was he in Boston, but made no intention of hiding the fact he was in Boston tells me there's something there.

I am not saying Love to Boston is a slam dunk, but I also think the chances of it happening are about 70% right now.

And then there's the optimist/dreamer in me that believes it's already a done deal ;)

Again, why else would Love be in Boston last week? For the clam chowder?

And the Flip Saunders/Minnesota team owner part of the story, I feel, is meaningless.

Well, some people actually want to see the Celtics be a good team. Apparently, you're not one of them.

If this holds true and there's some leverage you're right how would he go to a bottom 5 team when he wants to go to a team with stability and another piece in place. He'd just bolt on them the following year and not opt in. If it gets ugly and emotions come in play they probably hold him until the trade deadline.

If Triboy was the celtics GM, we would be in a never-ending state of rebuilding with rotating classes of mediocre young players.

True, but they also know that the longer they hold him, the less the return will be. They will lose a lot if they keep him until February. I expect Love to get traded this summer, and to a team that he wants to go to, either LA, Boston, Chicago, or Houston.

And there would be more people on the court than in the stands, watching.

lol. you are such a dreamer my friend.  He can't control where he goes to.

You think the Wolves GM already heard Danny's offer and has already agreed to a deal?? He would be a stupid GM then. He has to hear what other teams have to offer also, play games to drive up the price

Danny also is cheap, has never overpaid and i doubt ever will .

Draft night can't come fast enough.  When we don't get Love i bet there will be a riot in boston or something

Maybe I am a dreamer. No doubt I want to see the Celts land Love, badly.  But why else would Kevin Love be in Boston last week? Why else would there be a photograph of him and Rondo talking?

Can you answer that?

Also, I disagree with you on the Danny Ainge part. I have no way of knowing this, but I think Danny would do whatever it took to make this deal happen (and I haven't always agreed with every move Ainge has made, but I think he really wants to make a splash.)  If this deal doesn't materialize, it would be because of Minnesota, not Boston.

We gave a ton up for Garnett. He only played his prime for 1 and 1/2 season with us. Do not forget at that point Al Jefferson and Gerald Green there were many camps who thought they would be all stars, and many thought gerald Green was the next tmac

Gerald Green was a throw in by the time that trade was made.  Be real.

bc i don't want to get love i don't want to win?  What's next bc i don't want to give max to Melo i don't want to win??

I don't like Love and Melo. I don't like the way they play.

If LMA was pulling what Love was pulling now, i would be all in ,  in trading the 6th etc to grab him. Anthony Davis the same.

No, being a stupid GM would be trading Love for the 8th pick and Mcclemore who sucks which you previously suggested in this thread.
