Excited for tonight! Going to watch with a list of the lottery teams so I can tell if someone's jumped into the top 3. If you see a team like Suns or Pelicans not called where they are supposed to the odds of the celtics hitting the top 3 get worse.

They read off the slots from 14 down to 1 so you can tell

I think this reverse order of reading the teams off is lame.  I'd much prefer is they showed who got 1, then who got 2 and then who got 3.  E.g. 3 chances of winning the lotto. If you want to do 3,2,1 that's ok too.  It's too confusing exactly what you are rooting for when they reveal from worst to first.  E.g. if the 13th team moves, up then we have to hope the C's are not there at 6 instead of not there at 5, etc..

Last time I felt this much anticipation over a sporting event was the 2013 WS game 6.. before that was the 2011 superbowl...

This is that big...

This is a huge moment for the Celtics.

My guess is that if we land a Top 3 pick, we build around the guy and think hard about trading Rondo for some additional youth.

If we end up picking 5-8, my guess is we desperately try to include it in a package for Kevin Love.

Most likely scenario:  Celtics take Gordon #6, Love forces a trade to the Lakers.  We try to trade out of our PF logjam and have another bad-to-mediocre season.

HYPE! HYPE! HYPE! HYPE!
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I mean, the drama of it is what makes this format better.  Watching the ping pong balls for pick #1 takes the excitement out of it.

But yes, it's hard to keep track of it as it's going.  It can start right away.  If they say the #14 pick belongs to the Timberwolves, then you know that the Suns have moved into the Top 3... so you then re-adjust your expectations... "Please no Boston at #6... please no Boston at #6"...  then when they announce Boston with the #8 pick, you throw up, because you realize that both the Lakers and Kings have leapfrogged us as well.

Point is, every reveal is dramatic... and it will be like a sword through the heart every time a team is missing from where they are expected to pick.  It's great fun!

Getting nervous and starting to have flashbacks of '07. I really hope things turn out better this time around because that just sucked at the time. Top 3 please!
