Another love sighting today at Harvard.  I like that he is out there and not trying to hide this.  Could mean he is feeling this.

Also a quote from love:

"When other kids were watching Big Bird, I was watching Larry Bird."

Hang on! Are we talking about old basketball clips of The Legend because, my understanding is  Kevin Love would have been ~4-5 years old when Larry Bird retired.

Give Minn our 2014 6th pick in exchange for the 13th pick and our 17th pick
Draft Doug McDermott.

Give next years best 1st round pick and 2016 celtics 1st round pick with exception Minn takes Wallace. In addition to trade offer them Bass/humphries -- money should match or someone else lower.

Use TPE to get ASIK for rim protector - release Bogans, Anthony,  or other

Bring back Paul Peirce.

I'd do whatever possible to retain Sully, Olynk, Green all actual top 10 draft picks and we retain a youthful core of players

Has anyone read this? I guess it's his representative telling him to keep his mouth shut... till they finalized the deal :D

"The friendly public relations folks gave us a few minutes on the phone with Love. They had one stipulation: No questions about the Boston Celtics"

Thats funny. Can't ask anything about Boston, but Cleveland, no problem! Still gotta question if Chi and Huston is still in the game, but at least Cleveland still has an up hill battle. Makes you feel good though if your a Boston fan that there is still hope this gets done.

The article that quote is from talks about how he grew up with a Bird-era Celtics VHS.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Am I the only one not willing to give up Kelly Olynyk in a trade for Love?

I mean if they really want him and aren't willing to do the trade without him then I'd be willing to let him go but don't think we should be offering him. Perhaps I should have said am I the only one who thinks he has a lot of potential/upside.

New Boston Globe article came out about an hour ago about Ainge's dogged pursuit of Love:

http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2014/07/07/league-source-danny-ainge-working-acquiring-kevin-love/QqPhOyZ4j0P2nd6PbXDiiL/story.html

The highlights are:

However, a league source said Monday that president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is attempting to gather assets to acquire Kevin Love, convinced he can devise a package that would entice Minnesota Timberwolves president Flip Saunders to move the three-time All-Star, who will be a free agent next season......

According to two NBA sources, Ainge has been dogged in his pursuit of Love, and several agents believe he has the creativity to put together an attractive package.

The Celtics are essentially out of salary cap space, but they do have a $10.2 million trade exception from the Paul Pierce deal they have to use by Saturday. They also have potentially talented rookie James Young to offer in a deal. While Young was ruled out of summer league with a neck injury, there was speculation the Celtics are keeping him on ice in case of a potential deal.

Basically just a rehash of the tweets by guys like WOj earlier in the week that just reiterated that Ainge was still trying to land Love.  It was fairly obvious, though.  Ainge will continue to try to land Love as long as possible, but if/when that falls through he'll probably strongly consider moving Rondo.

Gotta wait to see what happens with Bron/Melo/etc first.  If Bron goes to the Cavs, I think the Cavs land Love.
