Scenerio - We end up with the 3rd or 4th pick of the draft.   One of the Magic, 76ers or another team with a Center or looking for a different player (Wiggins or Exum for example) , wants to make a deal with us. Would you trade both of our 1st for say Embiid and one of the early 76rs 2nd pick ? (example trade)

Potential starting lineup for next season
C - Embiid
PF- Sully
SF - Green
SG - AB
PG - Rondo

Danny is a stubborn guy and i don't have my hopes up he will trade Green or let AB walk easily.  I think he rather make this trade if available vs having to struggle with the idea to draft Wiggins, parker and trade Green

So we'd be trading the third or the fourth pick (and a late lotto) for the second or first?

Provided that some team would actually trade the #1 pick, absolutely.

You swing for the home run. And with Wiggins, Parker or Embiid, thats going be a pretty close fence to get it over. Of course theres still a chance to miss, but with those three and their potential? We swing, and hard!

SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine

But the question is regarding embiid. Not parker or wiggins. Like I stated, I think danny rather keep green vs start over fresh at the sf spot

Then no, I wouldn't do it.

Not that this makes any sense at all -- why wouldn't the hypothetical just select Wiggins or Parker with the first pick? To save some thousands on the difference in rookie pay? To nab that extra first rounder? Why would we give up our second pick for Embiid when we're already in the top 4?

I'm about to fall asleep, so forgive the extra edits, but in my 'must-sleep' haze I don't see why we would do this.

I say yes. Or I could go give the sixers our Brooklyn pick and Bradley for Nerlens Noel (provided he passes the medical); Then Draft Exum;

Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

Exum looks like he might be pretty special. I don't think I trade both picks if I have a chance at him.

I think there is a big drop-off after the top four so happy to trade a pick 5th or lower pick + second first rounder to move up to nab Embiid. Also happy to trade 4th pick + second first to move up to top three if it's Jabari Parker that is left. I think the other three (Wiggins, Exum, Embiid) all look considerably more promising than Parker.

Shame we couldn't trade Rondo for Embiid pick or Nerlins.

76 s GM tanked better

Still shaking my head at Pelicans taking Holiday for Nerlins ....

Why would we trade Rondo for Embiid pick when 1. we can still get him with our top pick and 2. He's still a mystery in terms of injury. I'd love him here but with Rondo still leading.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Possibly to get Exum and Embiid both?   Long shot.....but who would have thought Pelicans would take Holiday for Nerlins ?  I would trade Rondo for a chance to do this .    But not for Smart .

At any rate....talking wild long shots .....I t. might not be such a long shot to say Rondo isn't a Celtic after draft night.

Or how about trading Rondo and Bass for the Lakers 6 th pick on draft night?  DA may have saved Bass and Green and Hump to sweeten deals that evolve Rondo.

Lots of crazy stuff could happen......these last four games are more important than any stupid 8 seed meaningless playoff position.

Yes.

And then package Embiid for either Melo or Love.

Anything is possible I guess ...wouldn't surprise me......the more we loose last four games ....the better chance some big trade could result on draft night and/or this summer.

I don't understand all the stupid fuss about losing meaningless games and crying about not winning at this point....when all the teams are holding back players for one reason or another .

If the right trade comes along draft night . Danny won't blink this time......I think he'd have traded Rondo for Nerlins in a NY second ...."he was stunned it could be done.
