Why try to play him at SG?

Plug him in at SF (where he most likely belongs).  Then worry about what you'll do with a guy like Green. Don't try to be squeezing a square peg into a round hole here.

Preferably, if the Celtics ended up with Parker or Wiggins, I'd start shopping Green/Sullinger/filler/draft picks there to see what you could get.

Andrew Wiggins is considered as a SF.

Among shooting guards, I'm not sure if he is the best prospect, but I am intrigued by Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Chad Ford has him as a SG. It's not cut and dry that he's a SF. If he can defend the 2, why wouldn't you play him at the 2? He needs to shoot better from outside, but he's still a decent shooter.

I agree. Wiggins could be a 2 like gerald green and terence ross are. Wiggins has little to no post moves and not particularly physical under the rim

He can play either position easily from what I can see.

If the C's draft him they'll play Wiggins/Green at the wing no matter what you want to call them positionally at least for the first bit of Wiggins career.

Parker is the one who projects much more as a SF/PF.

Honest question; Who would be better inclined (Green/Wiggins) to guard opposing 2s?

From the Kansas games I have seen this year (probably 1/2 dozen) I would say Wiggins.  I think he is quicker than Green.  I honestly think on the def side of the ball Wiggins at the 2 and Green at the 3 is pretty decent.  Size, quickness, length, shot blocking ability for their positions...

Wiggins is going in the top 2.

Boston will be picking 15th after they win 15 of the next 20 games.

Not happening.  We're making the playoffs this year.

I hope you are being sarcastic ;D because looking at bostons upcoming schedule...no way they win 15 out of 20

except for Philly everyone of those teams should be better than us.

Wiggins, he's quicker and more fluid than Jeff Green.

Though given how skinny Wiggins is right now I might put Green on the bigger post threat to start (if one of the opposing wings is a credible post thread)

If the Celtics end up drafting Wiggins, why not bring him along slowly off the bench, backing up Green and Bradley in a sixth man role?

Rondo is coming on strong.  Green is streaking.  Wallace going down paves the way for someone like Oly to step up. Sully is a beast.  Bradley is coming back soon.   I smell a huge win streak coming.

There's no particular reason to.

Also, the idea to start him at SG is not particularly outlandish: Durant, George, and Garnett started one position "up" when they were skinny teenagers. Although, admittedly, George was never particularly skinny to begin with :)

Because it will be an easy transition.

He's quick enough to be able to defend quick guards. Plus, he'll have a height and length advantage over them.

He'll be like T-Mac, put him at either position and he'll be good either way. But he has the size advantage at the 2.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
I mentioned this in another thread a few days ago - I'd play Wiggins at the 2 next to Jeff. I fully expect him to play SG at least for his rookie season, he's still a bit skinny and I think he has the athleticism and quickness to play the 2 effectively.

If Wiggins lands on the Celtics and is 3/5ths the player that healthy T-Mac was, I'll be ecstatic.

Maybe our best shot a one of the most coveted. Draftees......he might fall one or two picks from the top three depending on who is picking .

He could fall into DAs lap ....never know what these GM's are thinking sometimes.

Bucks and Philly tanking STRONG for Parker and Embiid .

While we play Rondo  ??? ::)

Hey Rondo is playing great the last few games and somehow we are still piling up loses. In the meantime the Lakers roster full of D league players and scrubs has won 2 straight lol.
