If he has been playing with bone spurs and a torn meniscus, it is no wonder his play has suffered.  Seems he should come back improved.

So now we have 3 inactive players (Bogans,Wallace and Fav) and 2 uncertain for a week(KO and Bradley).

I think it's time for him to think about if he wants to continue playing basketball. Maybe he can retire and get his contract off the books.

I seriously doubt Wallace is going to leave $20 million on the table to give up basketball at 31.

I'm sure he still believes he can play. Even if he doesn't in his heart, he'll still keep gettin dem checks as Jalen Rose/Bill Simmons have plastered all over the internet.

Says he's been playing with bone spurs in his ankle as well and was going to need surgery this summer for that issue...then they found the torn meniscus.

So ankle surgery and knee surgery.

Possible that Wallace just became even MORE untradeable?

For his personal sake, I hope for a speedy recovery.

that sucks for him though, but that kinda made me respect him a little. He was playing with pain all along without knowing he tore a meniscus. Reminds me of Rondo during that Atl game.

I'm sorry to hear this. He's going to be in the organization for a while either way- I hope that he has a full, healthy recovery and gets ready to come off the bench for our championship squad in 2015-2016

I've pointed out a few times that the best shot at getting his salary off the books is to play enough so that he gets enough concussions to force his retirement for medical reasons.  (If a doctor ruled favorably, he would still be paid, but it wouldn't count against the cap.)

How is this ok for the forum? Wishing a career ending injury on one of our players, and not just that, but a head based career ending injury that is associated with lifelong pain and depression. This forum is usually better than this.

I'm not wishing injury on him, just pointing out that his contract is quite toxic so that a medical retirement seems more likely than Wallace being traded before he becomes an expiring contract.

This is why you keep your mouth shut and do your job, Keith Bogans. Minutes falling like manna from heaven right now, probably shouldn't have lit that bridge on fire.

like someone else pointed out, this will just make it more impossible to trade him in the future.

this is the worst news of the season.

I've already accepted the fact that will be with us until his contract is expiring. He's not worth 10M per year but he's actually a good influence for the kids with his hustle and he's been playing very good since Rondo came back. Right now I'm a big Wallace fan hope he recovers and has a good year next year.
