Every one still think they wouldn't want him in green?

Let me say.. He also had 13 rebounds. And left the game with about a couple minutes left lol

And say he's a chucker but he made 23-35 which is 65.7%

Great game but it shouldn't change anyone's opinion of him.  He's been a high scorer for 10 years.

Still don't want him, everyone and their mother is aware Melo is a scorer... I learned nothing new to change my mind. The answer is still NO.

Of course, as a Celtic fan I would have no choice but to cheer him if we pick him up. Doesn't mean I would like what we would be giving up to get him (every player not named RR and picks a'plenty).
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Melo is an elite scorer.  He's valuable as such.  Anybody who would flat out turn down having him on their team regardless of the situation is being silly.

You just can't expect Melo to do every little thing for your team the way that LeBron does.

On a team that has all the pieces in place except for a high-usage wing scorer, Melo would be a great fit.

3-4 inches and 15-20 pounds.  Dirk is significantly less athletic, though.

So last night was a career night for quite a few players besides Carmelo:

Isaiah Thomas - 38 points (career high)
Marcus Thornton - 42 points (career high)
Chandler Parsons - 34 points (career high)
Mirza Teletovic - 34 points (career high)
Andre Drummond - 20 rebounds (career high)
Tobias Harris - 20 rebounds (career high)
Andrew Bogut - 7 blocks (career high)

I still don't want him. I wouldn't want him if he did that for 10 games in a row.

Call it what you want, I'll be that b/c I still don't want him.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Carmelo is exactly the type of player I think Rondo needs to be paired with and vice versa. The reluctant scorer and the reluctant passer. Everyone wants a Lebron, but you don't pass up a Melo when he's available for the right price.

I don't get the opposition to Melo. One of the best scorers in the game, excellent rebounder at the 3 and is versatile enough to play multiple positions well.

I'd be happy to get Melo

He has always been one of the top scorers in any program he has been in.   but when he is off ,  he continues to shoot the ball and has a hard time making his teammates better IF he is having a bad night.    best for him to sit on the bench  and get out of the way , instead of chucking up a million shots ..

When he is on his game well, it can help his team, but they need touches and shots too, to get their game going , he is a huge ball hog.

One of the worst. Elite team players I've ever seen......he needs to watch LBJ. Work the ball

This is such flawed logic. You might as well tell Sully to watch more tapes of Dirk. Carmelo is Carmelo and Lebron is Lebron. Carmelo doesn't have Lebron's passing ability the same way Lebron doesn't have Melo's shooting touch. When teams stop expecting Melo to be play-maker and scorer that's when he'll find his greatest success(Denver for example). IMO, you team Melo with a play maker(Rondo) and a secondary scorer(?) and your halfway there.

If we don't move Green we'd have a secondary scorer.
