My offer was better Ron!

You're offer was no where near. You wanted me to give up my 5th.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I had Chicago as the front runner for before that trade.

I guess there's going to be a new favorite to win that card.

SG. AFFLALO (will guard SFs)
SF. DEROZAN
PF. GRIFFIN
C. VUCEVIC

Fun run it up the floor, dangerous team.

From an entertainment standpoint, certainly one of the best teams to watch play.

How it translates into Ws & Ls? I'm not sure yet.

Do my team Dons, please?

I could use an expert.

Dons once started a quasi-retired Yao Ming and got to the WCF.

82 game Yao Ming. Those were the days. CB Mods and the PRC love Yao Ming.

You don't like Yao MIng? What'd he do to you, put his head through your rainbow or something?

I missed most of the afternoon, but above has to be in the mix for post of the day.

Also, yes, at the time I was irate.

Wow I didn't think my team was that good as no one talked about it, either way I like the trade and I feel that is the most important thing.  8)

TRADE

Golden State sends: David Lee, J.R Smith, 6.21

Chicago sends: Lamarcus Aldridge, 10.3, 11.23

Why did Chicago didn't even try to shop Aldridge. I would have built a package around Monroe.

Dang, Chi-town.

WhaaaahaaaTTT???

Oh, man Ron.  Why

I commented on it this morning and said it was one of my favorite teams and that their skill sets meshed perfectly.

From my end, you got significantly worse (LMA is a franchise cornerstone, David Lee is just a good player) at the top of your rotation, gained a bench star in JR Smith as a position where you didn't really need amazing depth. By the end of round 6 you might be a well-rounded team, but basketball is one of those games where trading a 3 for three 1's isn't equal value.

When people talk BADLY about your team or DON'T talk about it and you know its a solid team, then you know you have a good team and they dont want to help hype your team up!!!!!!!

I would rather have people not talking about my team than talking about them because I lost significant talent in a "trade down in value" trade. You can always get them to talk about your team later on.

And as IP wisely stated, and he should know given he's been to like the last 3 or 4 straight Finals in this game, trading a 3 for  three 1's is not equal value. Trading down 20 spots in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round does not equal trading up two rounds from the 6th, 7th or 8th rounds. It just doesn't, especially around where the middle of talent tiers lay.

That's how I did my Big Board pre-draft when I was playing. I made tiers and then saw where the cut offs looked like they were going to fall and tried to work trades moving up in tiers, not rounds. There's a big difference when you do that.

Three kids, but they are all men now and probably older than a bunch of people GMing in this draft.

I now have:

3 All Stars
1 All NBA Defensive 1st Team
1 Alll NBA 3rd Team
1 Sixth Man of the Year

No one was talking about my team until this one "bad" trade. It is what it is though.

Honestly Ron, you can't say nobody was talking about your team.

I called Aldridge a top 10 player, and was called essentially crazy.  Yet, look at the reaction now, and it's obvious how highly most rate him.  He's that good.

I also stated, just yesterday, you were in my top 4 in the East.  Now, I think your good (still in playoffs), but just another team in the toughest division in the league (sorry).

Let's compare...

Conley---Holiday
Redick---Green
George---Marion
Anderson---Lee
Okafor---Chandler

I think Cleveland might have you both beat right now.
