I think all the guys with injuries concerns that were chosen over the last 40-50 picks have to be judged pretty much the same way. If they are playing and playing at their level, they are excellent additions to the teams that drafted them. If they aren't healthy, its a swing and a miss for those teams.

I think you kind of have to look at them all in one light or the other when judging these things here.

Every injury is like a snowflake. Unique special in its own way. Everyone knows that.

I'd be kinda funny if everyone just stated, "Nah, I'm pretending they never play a game."

I like Amare, but I don't know how much I'll be valuing him in the voting. Same thing with Bynum.

haha.  ::)

Whoever has Bynum, go to the DKC thread where the same Roy H. doled out something like a 4 yr/$53 million contract for Bynum. smh.

(for the record I wouldn't touch Bynum with a 10 foot pole, nor allow him on any team, real or fantasy, that i had anything to do with...)

riah drafted him.  The same riah who has him in DKC.

DKC is a different animal.  There, Cleveland is a poor free agent destination, so it has to take some risks.  As we've said, we expect Bynum to be healthy for the playoffs in two out of four years.  During those two years, the Cavs will be contenders.

In a one year exercise where there are no barriers to players you can acquire, I'd stay away until the 7th or 8th.

I know y'all are technically co-GMs or whatever.... but I honestly can't remember 5 posts from Riah in the DKC draft. And would be willing to wager all my TPs that more than 60% of the posts re: Bynum were from Riah's assistant-to-the-Gm.

But yeah, different animals... i was just saying the CBD GM could probalby find 10-20K words on why Bynums injury is worth the risk  ;D

I would respectfully disagree.  I think there are some subtle distinctions based upon the type of injury, the injury history, if the guy was playing at the end of last year, etc.

For instance, I have a much more optimistic view of Varejao for one season than I do for Bynum.

Isn't this the same GC who eviscerated me once for jumping over another GM, in the name of courtesy? ;)

TRADE

New York sends: Monta Ellis and 6.24

Minnesota sends: 5.10 and 6.16

This makes me happy.  That's the one team Ellis made sense on.

Thanks Roy.

Formal announcement from Minnesota coming soon.
