30 secs Yoki then i make my turrible pick.

Isn't this the same GC who eviscerated me once for jumping over another GM, in the name of courtesy? ;)

In the name of Ubuntu

Haha.  Right.

Good man, GC.

I think all the guys with injuries concerns that were chosen over the last 40-50 picks have to be judged pretty much the same way. If they are playing and playing at their level, they are excellent additions to the teams that drafted them. If they aren't healthy, its a swing and a miss for those teams.

I think you kind of have to look at them all in one light or the other when judging these things here.

I would respectfully disagree.  I think there are some subtle distinctions based upon the type of injury, the injury history, if the guy was playing at the end of last year, etc.

For instance, I have a much more optimistic view of Varejao for one season than I do for Bynum.

Injuries are different for me too. Guys who have chronic issues (Amare, bynum, bogut) I feel are way less likely to produce at a high level then a first time injury guy like Rondo and Rose.

I think when it comes to injuries, too many here play the gamesmanship card and their guys will be healthy and they bring reasons and articles x, y, z to the table and the other guys do the same.

Yes, every injury is different and the possibilities of each playing returning and being healthy are different. But, I have heard WAY WAY WAY to many stories about how Bynum was going to be back because of this and Varejao was going to be back because of that and Michael Redd was going to be back because of this and Bogut was going to be back because of that and and Rose was going to be because of this and Amar'e was going to be back because of this in this game only to see during the season that those things didn't happen to listen to the stories anymore.

For me, if they have an injury history, your not getting the benefit of the doubt with my vote and I'm not going to give it to some and not to others. Been burnt by this way too many times to listen to the PR regarding injuries.

In Andy's defense, he's playing hurt in but still managed to put up those ridiculous numbers and seemed to be coasting for an all star bid.

And then the blood clot, which is life threatening but no career threatening, so Andy is fine.

This isn't your fault, but I won't be valuing Oladipo very high.  Too many years of IP selling his rookies as the next big thing, only to see them look like...  rookies.

I agree.  He would have been playing late in the season / in the playoffs, if the Cavs weren't tanking.  The clot was a freak injury.

Thought very hard about taking him at 5.3 but Amar'e had too much upside.
