The best way to quickly rebuild to respectability (i.e. being competitive but not elite) is to stockpile a lot of productive, useful young players on "value" contracts.
This trade would help us do that.
It's the sort of thing Daryl Morey would do.
It's the sort of thing Danny Ainge did. Except, you need salary to send back in deals when you're ready to swap the young players for, well, real players.
So, expect Danny to acquire a bad contract or two for that very purpose (Rafe, Wally, Theo). Expect fans to hate on him for doing it, too. BTW, that's what I figured Jordan was going to be...this rebuild's Theo/Rafe.
You know...Dallas wants CP3. CP3 seems to want KG. I wonder if KG would drop his NTO to go to Dallas? They wouldn't be able to get both Paul and Howard, to put next to Dirk, but Paul and KG would be a very good alternative.
