I'll believe that it is called off when I hear it from a reliable source, most sources said that we would know by next week. I still think that timeline holds. Both sides came with what they want now they are negotiating.

Bledsoe seems to be the difference, as a Celtic fan I will not be happy if he isn't included.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

RT @BA_Turner: Doc Rivers been informed Clippers won't accept Celtics offer. Rivers prepared to stay in Boston, sources.
I think the Clippers are right to reject this trade. Not worth consideration.

Boston asking for too much.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I don't want Jordan if we aren't getting Bledsoe.
No point, he sucks and is on same money as KG. Bledsoe is on nice deal and is a huge trade asset.
This is either completely made up by the media or the clippers are posturing.
There is no way they turn this deal down because of Bledsoe.
The Howard stuff is irrelevant because they have a deal on the table with no competition involved. Howard will be getting offers left and right and the Clippers won't have a chance come trade time.
CP3 will be demanding this goes through and Danny knows this.
It's worth more to Danny to have doc coach us for the next 3 years rather than getting Jordan and some late first round picks.
You don't refuse to include a 5 ft 11 shooting guard off the bench if it means you get an all star big man, one of the best coaches in the NBA and a guaranteed resigning of a top 3 pg in the NBA.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I disagree, if the Celtics were to get back less than that proposed package I don't think it would be fair for them.

The Clippers can be title contenders for the next 5-7 years. If I were them, I wouldn't be willing to give up an important piece like DeAndre Jordan for a 37 year old Kevin Garnett. The single year improvement next year isn't worth sacrificing a long term piece like D.Jordan.

The Clippers should be looking for long term solutions for their roster. Not short term fixes. Pieces they can put alongside Blake Griffin, CP3 and DeAndre Jordan for the next 4+ years. To make a prolonged run at a title(s) like they are capable of doing. Not sacrificing young talent for a 37 year old Kevin Garnett.

And on top of that, the Clips are being asked to part with Eric Bledsoe and what two first round picks? For a 37 year old KG and Doc? Yikes.

I would be irritated to high hell as a Clippers fan if they made this trade.

I disagree. I think their insecurity about Chris Paul leaving is what shot this deal down. If Paul was already on the books they would have pulled the trigger.

If Clipper won't do Bledsoe and Jordan for KG then why doesn't Ainge juts ship Doc for two first round picks??
Doc doesn't want top be here for the rebuilding so go out and get two nice assets in the two picks.

again, you all are missing the point
The Clippers are in win now mode. Part of those plans include CP3. CP3 wants Doc and KG, so you go out and get Doc and KG. Otherwise, CP3 leaves and you're no longer a contender...at all.

You can find another big(ish) person with limited offense. You cannot find another CP3.

Who, if Paul was on the the books the Clips would absolutely do this deal. They are not giving up anything they couldn't obtain in the 2014 free agency after KG retires and Butler are off the books.

Keeping CP3 and get a serious chance at a title is worth adding Bledsoe. You can't get everything for free! (They can't play jordan at the fourth quarter, their picks won't give them franchise players, Bledsoe is not a difference maker specially in the play off where CP3 will play 40min).
They are stupid if they won't accept the deal. Without CP3 they are back to square 1. They are bluffing and Danny knows it. Beside Danny don't mind keeping DOC and KG.

I understand that, but what if it doesn't work and Paul joins Howard in Atlanta? Then what for the Clips? Then they don't have a PG.
