Congrats to Griffin he had one good game

In GAME 7 against the Grizzlie Griffin had 8 points 4 rebounds 3-11 shooting, sure he only played 28 minutes but thats cause he was playing horrible! He choked in GAME 7!

He took 11 shots and 3 free throws to score 8 points!

I think you're overlooking something here. In the Grizzlies series Griffin was playing very physical ball. Randolph was knocking him around. They were both in foul trouble a lot of that series.

Fortunately Pau is a finesse player and the complete opposite of ZBo. He doesn't draw many fouls and doesn't punish guys with physical play. It's not even similar. Griffin has put up high quality numbers against Pau.

In the first four games against ZBo Griffin had at least 5 fouls and the last three games he had three.

Griffin still put up games where he had 22 points and 9 boards. Also he had a 30 point game with 7 assists.

Against the Spurs he played much better where in the final three games he scored 20, 28, and 21. The spurs, like your wizards, did not play the physical brand of ball that Memphis did either.

The Spurs swept the Clippers :D

Your point? You aint the Spurs and I aint the Clippers.

Exactly you are not the spurs and im not the clippers so dont just bring up what he did against the spurs, GRIFFIN CHOKED!

Griffin averaged 21 points and 8 rebs. Along with 2 blocks a game. How is that a choke job? The Spurs had the best record in basketball. The Clippers were just overmatched as a unit.

Lol how did Griffin choke?

In the playoffs he averaged under 7 rebounds a game

That's your basis for choking? So what is Pau averaging 12 points a game?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I voted Wizards, but it was a very tough call for me. Here was my reasoning:

1) I acquired Stephan Curry from Roy on the belief that he would be mostly healthy on the year, and in the playoffs. I traded him to Evantime telling him that I believed Curry would be healthy. While I don't owe any kind of loyalty to Ronaldo and the mysteriously absent JSD, I do think in the spirit of good will, for me, I'm supposing Curry's health.

2) I think right now, today, Pau Gasol is a better player than Blake Griffin.

3) I think right now, today, Marc Gasol is a better player than Marcin Gortat, but not Pau Gasol.

4) I think Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson are terrible, ego-driven malcontents that need a strong, very firm alpha dog to keep them in check. They don't got it here.

And just to say again, it was super, super close. I changed my mind about this a few times, and if Kane had t said the deadline was last night, I couldve easily seen me changing my mind again.

This isn't surprising.

Of course Washington is a much easier matchup for the Bulls then the Celtics are right?

 ;)

I think that is obvious.

Hopefully Bulls vs Celtics happens though. I like what I bring to the table in that matchup.

Kane, i need some convincing myself here:

I'm still kind of stuck on this JR SMith, Rip Hamilton battle...I feel like this matchup could be the x-factor.

I like what Rip did towards the end of the season with Chicago, but I just don't like his fit here.

Convince me he's not a liability and tell me why JR Smith isn't going to have his way in this series with a 34 year old superhero-wannabee trying to keep up with him (AND Lou Williams!!) for over 30 minutes a night.

First off when looking at their team, I think it is in my best interest if Smith is trying take advantage of his matchup. Smith will score on Rip some, but how efficiently?

Smith averaged 12 ppg last season on eleven shots. In the post season he averaged 12 ppg on FIFTEEN shots.

The guy is the definition of a low scoring volume scorer. And an inefficient one. I have the feeling that every time he has Hamilton on him he will think, "This dude can't guard me" and try to score. With his shooting percentages I will take that over what I feel are better options in Gortat, Pau, and Curry.

As for defense Smith is horrible. Here is what Hollinger said about him.

Quote
Synergy rated Smith as the worst defender in the league last season. I don't think he was that bad, but he certainly wasn't good. While Smith has the size and physical skills to defend well, he's inattentive, takes bad gambles and doesn't play hard. He ranked eighth at his position in steals per minute, but only by taking a lot of low-risk gambles that saw him beaten repeatedly. His improved rebounding last season (sixth among shooting guards) may be a sign that he's putting a bit more effort into the defensive end, but relative to every other player in the league he still has a long way to go.

Smith did improve a bit with his Drtg going to 100. His Ortg was 104 which happened to be Rip's Drtg. So make you want out of that.

Fact is Smith is not a dependable player. He shoots you out of games and rarely into them. He had to accept a one yr. 2 million dollar deal from NY b/c no one wanted him. He is also more suited to coming off the bench and has never been successful as a starter. He is starting for the Wizards.

I will not focus on scoring with Rip on Smith, but I am confident Smith will slip up and let Rip out of his sights on more then a few occasions as Rip is constantly in motion and running off screens.

Rip cant handle him, Smith will drive it in the whole game on him, Rip is suppose to play 31 minutes for the Celtics, they depend a lot on him. Rip had to take 11 shots to score 11 points, the last time Rip played over 30 minutes was in the 09-10 season

He provides the spacing... you know b/c the defense is concerned about the big 3... The point is that the defense is giving him those looks b/c they are defending the Big 3.

Lol we are not concerned about your BIG 3 Gasol and Gortat will handle Marc and Griffin, Wallace will help out Curry with Westbrook from time to time, Westbrook for the entire season had to take 20 shots to score 23 points and Westbrook doesnt shoot well from downtown
