Interesting Facts about Celtics BIG 3 in the Playoffs:
Griffin: Min 35.7, 19.1 Pts 6.9 Reb FG% .500
Now compare that to Griffin regualar season:
Min 36.2, 20.7 Pts 10.9 Reb FG%.549
So Griffin rebounding went down by 4! and his points almost 2! His shooting also went down

Westbrook: Min 38.4, 23.1 Pts FG% .435 3P% .277 Ast 5.8
Now compare to Westbrook's regular season:
Min 35.3, 23.6 Pts FG% .457 3P% .316 Ast 5.5
That being said Westbrook played 3 more minutes but his points went down his FG% and 3P% went down and his assist barely went up.

Marc: Min 37.3, 15.1 Pts Rebs 6.7
Now lets compare to the regular season
Min 36.5 14.6 Pts Rebs 8.9

So Marc went down in rebounds by 2.2!

So Marc and Griffin will combine for 13.6 rebounds a game! :D
This really does not help your cause.  Griffin averages more points than Pau's highest scoring output in road playoff games

Lol in road playoff games, it does help my cause cause it proves that Griffin and Marc are both soft in the playoffs as they cant even get 7 rebounds Pau last year got 9.5 rebounds in the playoffs

In game three against the Spurs Griffin had 16 boards with 28 points...

I think you are talking about the wrong Gasol when you say soft.

I think most of us remember Phil Jackson hitting this guy in the chest to try and light a fire under him when Dirk was destroying him.

Well that's the thing. You never stated a strategy. So we are left to assume what yours will be. Since it obviously depends on Steph Curry a lot then I would think it would be uptempo. I mean that is the kid of game he plays. It's how he played in college and in GS.

So you won't be playing an uptempo style with Curry?

You know what for you we will play an uptempo with Curry but Billups wont play when Curry is on the floor :)

Interesting. Mike Brown doesn't really like this style. He was consistently criticized for not playing fast and speeding the game up in Cleveland. Can he implement his defensive philosophies still when playing at such a fast pace?

So how many minutes is Curry playing officially? I want to know so I get a feel for how much of the game's pace you will try to speed up. For the record, if we didn't make it clear, we want to run. So this is good for us.

So only Smith and Williams will play with Curry?

When Billups is in does that mean your approach changes and you play slow with a focus on the half court?

I don't think Steph Curry needs uptempo basketball to succeed. He is a lethal halfcourt player too with his  explosive shooting / scoring ability and passing skills.

I think Steph Curry can succeed at any tempo.

I think you're overlooking something here. In the Grizzlies series Griffin was playing very physical ball. Randolph was knocking him around. They were both in foul trouble a lot of that series.

Fortunately Pau is a finesse player and the complete opposite of ZBo. He doesn't draw many fouls and doesn't punish guys with physical play. It's not even similar. Griffin has put up high quality numbers against Pau.

In the first four games against ZBo Griffin had at least 5 fouls and the last three games he had three.

Griffin still put up games where he had 22 points and 9 boards. Also he had a 30 point game with 7 assists.

Against the Spurs he played much better where in the final three games he scored 20, 28, and 21. The spurs, like your wizards, did not play the physical brand of ball that Memphis did either.

I think Steph Curry thrives in a fast paced game. Now Curry is no Steve Nash, but Nash was a guy that like Curry was better in the open floor. When you slowed the game down much like SA did it really took away a lot of the great things Nash brought to the table. While Steve was still very good he was not the MVP caliber player he had been against everyone else.

Curry will not impact the game at the same level he could in a slowed down game that he would in a transition game.

That being said. Boston wants to play fast. I think a faster paced game really helps us and we get more out of it with Blake and Russ then Washington does with Curry.

Griffin averaged 21 points and 8 rebs. Along with 2 blocks a game. How is that a choke job? The Spurs had the best record in basketball. The Clippers were just overmatched as a unit.

Lol how did Griffin choke?
