I wanna commend both GMs here. Rondo and wdleehi. They are going to battle this out until the end and I appreciate it. This is how a playoff series should be.

There is no quit on either side here, but there is respect.

Thanks for making this thread competitive in a good way. It is enjoyable to read.

TP to both of you.

I'd have to give an edge to Team Kobe's bigs, but on the flip side Playoff Rondo is nearly unstoppable.

Even though AB would have a slight disadvantage height-wise vs Kobe, I think AB's athleticism would help to alleviate this - some.

At least until Kobe starts taking Rondo or AB into the post.

Dalembert is one big I had my eyes on. Presumably, in this format he's kept Duncan fresh during the regular season, allowing him to play very well and extended minutes during the playoffs.

A rested Tim Duncan is a top big in the playoffs.

Fun matchup.

I am not sold on that. All the Spurs still say Duncan is the ounce of their success. I think Kobe was better then any of his laker counter parts and I am not sure about him Vs Dwight.

Yes this is true.  Though in the playoffs this year I would argue that KG was just as if not more important than rondo
He was, but that was in large part because we had KG/Pierce as options to create if Rondo wasn't on the floor. They didn't always get the job done but they had a chance.

Bass at C, Steamer, or Hollins just couldn't get it done at all when KG was off the court. Couldn't keep the team's defense/rebounding from falling entirely apart.

I like the Hawks but Rondo would be a big matchup nightmare for this aged ones.

I'm seeing Pacers, 6 games the most.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

What happens when he shoves a referee this series, does Indiana have the ability to bail him out?  I don't think so

What happens when Kobe, Duncan, Hill and Kidd all break down because of age?

If Pacers play uptempo and do alot of pick and rolls with rondo and monroe, they wont lose.

KG's +/- was crazy in the playoffs for us. It blew everyone else out of the water if I remember right.

Won't happen they got plenty of rest throughout the season significantly down from their average minutes played.  Though Rondo was suspended twice last season for incidents with officials.  And he still can't shoot

Cause they are a really good defensive team probably the best in the league, they are young and the Hawks are old

And they have to play more games this season.  They are all a year older.  And you are already asking Duncan to play more minutes per game in the playoffs then he did last season.

I have more faith in Rondo not making that mistake again then the miracle of all those guys being healthy.

What does that have to do with why the Pacers will beat the Hawks via Pick and Roll?

I could see the minutes argument going against Duncan as the playoffs go on in later rounds, but if we assume the minutes and rest that Rondo is advocating Duncan got in the regular season. Then I don't see him wearing out right away in the first round.
