The Magic owner is Rich DeVos.I know that, thanks ... my comment was aimed at Stern. And why are you thanking Stern? It's called sarcasm ... this should've been vetoed.Sarcasm becomes difficult to understand when it doesn't make sense . . . On what grounds should this trade be vetoed?

I wish all the injuries in the world for the Fakers. Yes people I'm that type of hater.

On what grounds should this trade be vetoed?Because Orlando got screwed ... their obvious lack of vision requires somebody else to protect them from themselves. This is far more unbalanced than the CP3 trade, yet this crap is allowed?!? That makes no sense, my comment was my opinion, and far from nonsensical, thanks.
So what are the chances a 38 year old. fat, out of shape, injury prone, Dwight Howard comes to play for the Celtics 10 year from now?

The NBA owned the Hornets at the time, so Stern was able to veto the trade. Stern can not veto this trade unless there is some salary or contract error. Rich Devos owns the Magic. The NBA doesn't own the Magic.
Exactly.
Quote from: Bahku on August 10, 2012, 01:23:34 AMExactly. So you were sarcastically thanking David Stern for not doing something that he can't do anyway? May want to brush up on the sarcasm a bit. Perhaps David Stern can help.

And Philly is in our division and in our conference. There was talk that they wanted to salary dump Igoudala due to too much redundancy on their team and his high salary. And now instead of salary dumping him for nothing, they got the second best center in basketball for him.A team in our conference and in our division just picked up a young elite center for a guy they considered salary dumping. Such is life, my friend.Eh, while the trade makes L.A. front runners over Miami barring a not-out-of-the-question injury to any one of Howard (back), Nash (age) Bryant (wear-and-tear), the 76ers roster was a mess prior to adding Bynum. The team has now lost three of its four best players from last season's hard nosed squad, Evan Turner and Nick Young leave a lot to be desired as decision makers. Overspending on Kwame Brown was baffling.Barring more moves I expect Phiadelphia to miss the playoffs. And in that environment Bynum could go either way. Dominate as the team's first option and win games. Or get his, but lose, sulk and tune out disciplinarian Doug Collins.Just an awful deal for Orlando regardless.Believe it or not, I actually agree with that. I thought their off-season was brutal. Nick Young and Kwame Brown in for Elton Brand and Lou Williams? Blech. But I think they won this trade pretty handily.Holiday-Turner-Thaddeus-Lavoy-Bynum with Richardson-Nick Young-Hawes on the bench isn't so bad. They can probably move Hawes for a better fit.Their team was meh and their off-season sucked. But they just got a great young big who might be happy to just take the money and be the #1 option. Remember, he is the one who said "there's a bank in every city." There is a bank in Philly.

I'm cautiously optimistic, only because of how much I value Bynum and how I always thought that the gap between the two wasn't as wide as people have said. Should be a fun season - Thunder and Heat and Celtics are still going to be a hell of a challenge though...
