I love Perkins...everyone loves Perkins. But as a defensive anchor next to Blake Griffin, I'm not a huge fan at all.

With Tommy T he can get blake to play great defense. He has all the tools to play elite D. Quick,good feet, and jumping ability. Will be a good help side defender in his help heavy defense.

I think Blake Griffin could learn to be a very good defender, but he doesn't have a handle on the game yet to really make it work in just one season, maybe two.

Considering that Boston is in your division, Perkins could be very useful against Andrew Bynum.

But as a unit, I don't think Blake Griffin and Perkins is a good fit, or an imposing frontline. Neither has a reliable jumper, neither is a good help defender, and of the two only Blake has the tools, and aside from a highlight block or two, he hasn't shown the understanding or inclination to be that guy every play.

Thats why we brought in Tom. He is a guy that gets guys to play hard on D every play. Look at Pierce look at Allen played pretty good D once they worked into his scheme.
