So now that LeBron has won his ring, is he the consensus #1 pick in the draft now?

NO NAMES!   :-X

Lol whoever gets the first pick is by far and away gonna have an advantage. Even with the second pick you will have much less wiggle room to mess up. With so many injuries to key guys I really don't see how outside the top three or four anyone really has a realistic shot at the title.

Gonna have to be really strategic with your roster if your outside the top three in my opinion.

I WON THE CELTICSBLOG CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2010 AND I WILL BE RESPECTED

Get back to me when you build a team around Dirk, get jobbed in the voting then Dirk wins a title

Then you build a team around Lebron, get jobbed in the voting and then Lebron wins a title.

Maybe I should build a team around Rondo this year?

I get the first overall pick this year right? Because I had the worst team last year.  ;D

I think I beat you literally both years.

'Got Jobbed In The Voting' my ass. You built around LeBron when nobody liked him, and you built around Dirk when the Mavs looked done.

But your case is worth thinking about; we really should have a 'hindsight voting'.

You gotta buy high. When I had my LeBron team, Jennings and Noah were coming off of strong seasons, so was Ilyasova (although that'll go down as one of the biggest botched arguments of all time. I'll forever 'hear' nick laughing about that one), and LeBron hadn't played next to a superstar yet. The reasoning was that if Bron played next to a decent supporting cast, he'd be substantially better. Still lost in the Finals though.

But when you took him the next year, he'd just choked in the Finals and it was fresh in everyone's mind, and he'd choked when playing next to two top-20 players.

Perception matters a lot here.

I understand the essence of the exercise is to get us through the summer, but I'd really love to see this actually executed. Because right now you're really not rewarded for 'potential.' You're better off selecting the Antawn Jamison's of the world.

It'd be cool to do a mid season and end of seasons re ballot or awards, to reward the teams who had the foresight to see breakout stars like James Harden.

I agree, I think people need to start looking at my perception as reality however.   ;D
