Yes, he's a professional, and this decision doesn't change that. Being a professional, and constantly accepting being treated like trash by the team you play for are two different things.

Woah, I dont think Ray was treated like trash. Come on. He was treated like the 4th best player on the team, who was probably going to be permanently passed by Green, Bradley and Terry. Ray is no longer an all star level player.

Yes Ray is a professional. But he also couldn't handle being treated like a role playing 5th or 6th man. Thats what he is now. There will be a honeymoon for a few months or a year in Miami, and then he'll be treated just like any other 6th man. If I'm Miami I don't want to reduce Chalmers or Battier's roles. Those guys are pests on defense.
