I just don't think mayo wants to be in Boston. I know Danny wants him real bad...always has.

Is this really a question?

Of course the answer is Ray Allen.  Mayo is was TA's backup, think about that for a minute.

TA made him remember that on a flight when he first came to Memphis.

Give me Ray

 OJ Mayo:

"It really doesn't interest me to be a Celtic." - OJ Mayo to Donny Marshall.
"I don't care about banners." - OJ Mayo to Donny Marshall regarding his feelings towards the Boston Celtics

 Bye bye Mayo

Mayo is a joke compared to Ray Allen. Let's just get that out of the way...

Sounds like Mayo wants Money over Banners. Sad if he could look a few years ahead he'd be a starter maybe have a ring and get a max deal.  Grizzles really hurt his pride by making him a back up. Danny see's the potential and I wish Mayo could see it as well.

There's a quote somewhere else where Mayo has said he would LOVE to play with Rajon Rondo. all quotes in certain context can be p[resumed one way or the other. It may not have interested him at the time because Mayo was in the middle of the season with the team that drafted him and he wanted to show some loyalty. I mean seriously, what was he supposed to say??

"Yes, even though I'm currently a member of the Grizzlies and no trade may even happen, I really want to leave right now and go play for Boston. In fact I have my bags packed right now in case it happens."

Of course it didn't interest him. Why should it have at that time. I respect those comments. But it's not even about the comments. It's about what kind of player is Mayo now and what kind of player is Ray now and which is more important considering the makeup of the team and what we need to win? If you're honest, it's not even close. You take Mayo 11 times out of 10. Mayo is a better ballhandler, passer, more athletic. Better defender(next to Ray he is and it's not close). I love Ray but it is time to say "Thank you, Goodbye and Good Luck" even if it's with the Heat.

Source??

Mayo is too inconsistent. Don't where some of you are getting your facts. Ray is a far more consistent and productive player. Mayo was replaced by Tony Allen and only got back to even minutes once Tony was injured.

my only issue with ray is the d.  his shot will be there if his feet/ankles are healthy, but his d has dropped off over the past couple of years.
