I'd really want Cousins in any Rondo-to-the-Kings trade... He's a headcase, but the guy is a beast and a ridiculous young talent (21 and he's already a 20, 10 and 2 guy) ... Would love to stick him next to KG for a couple seasons.  Cousins also makes 3.8 mil... so we're talkin about freeing up another 7 mil in cap room... which when added to the "25 million" might give us enough money to go hard at Deron Williams ... or a Steve Nash for a season... and still retain most of our players.

Losing Rondo would be a bummer, but I think there might be some point guards available this offseason.  Supposedly Steve Nash is strongly considering goign to the Raptors... which might mean Jose Calderon is available.  Again... Rondo is far superior to Jose Calderon, but if we're getting major value for Rondo, Calderon might be an excellent pick-up.  He shoots lights out and is very capable of getting 9-10 assists a game.

This is the foundation of  possible trade.

Kings get Rondo.

Magic get Tyreke, picks 5, 21, and 22.

Celtics get Howard and go after Deron.

Hmm ... turn it into a three team trade and go after Dwight Howard?

Tyreke Evans and the #5 pick would be attractive proposal for Orlando. Maybe throw in Boston's two first rounders on top of it. Not sure if that would be enough to win the Dwight Howard sweepstakes but maybe so ...

Follow that up by creating enough cap space to go after Deron Williams.

Drummond? With the #5 pick? Drummond and Tyreke?

I have a hard time seeing Ainge trading Rondo for Tyreke given how each player has played over the past 2 years. So I don't put much weight into this rumour.

Danny Ainge would need to be highly enticed by some prospect. It looks like Robinson and Beal will go 2nd and 3rd. Then Barnes, Kidd-Gilchrest and Drummond in some order. I wonder which one of them Danny is hot for. I am thinking Drummond. Too much of a chance Barnes goes earlier. Danny would need a higher pick to ensure Barnes.

PG - Bradley
SG - Tyreke, Ray
SF - Pierce
PF - Garnett
C  - Drummond

Plus, two first round picks and some assortment of J.Green, Bass, JJJ, Stiemsma and Dooling.
Yeah if we aren't getting back Cousins... I'd really want Drummond with the pick.  We need a young beast with potential for KG to mentor.  Either Cousins or Drummond would do nicely.

Btw... I doubt this rumor very much.

If so, it'll definitely be the #5 and Evans (who Ainge likes). Definitely a sell high on Rondo, buying low on Evans. Good value. Especially if we could squeeze even more out of them in way of future picks.

Hmmm. What do you guys think about a Tyreke-Bradley backcourt?
I like it.

I wouldn't do Rondo for Gordon and #5.
But I would do Rondo for Wall and #3.

Twitter is blowing up because some idiots with fake Sam Amick and fake Chris Broussard are spreading Rondo trade rumors.

The fake Sam Amick rumors were Rondo to the blazers for Batum, 6, and 11

I like that Howard idea. But forget Deron, how enticing would it be for Nash? Playing alongside KG, Pierce and Howard for the full MLE. Plus, if the Allen/Rondo rift is true, it would make Allen's re-signing even more likely.

Starters (talk about giving Howard spacing)
KG
Pierce
Howard
Nash
Allen

Bench
Green
Bradley
Etc....

I don't really think either can play back court, but on defense it would be great, because Bradley could cover the smaller player as opposed to getting owned by larger shooting guards.

Dwayne Wade isn't a big SG.

The two team trade won't work unless we're under the cap which requires the Cs renouncing their free agents.

He is bigger than bradley than Bradley.  And he probably the most physical SG in the game right?

Right.  He's not.  There was a game against the Hawks that Joe Johnson beasted over Bradley and it was concerning.  Also, I noticed that early in the Philly series, having Bradley on the court meant that Rondo had to guard 6'7 Evan Turner.  If you had Evans in the back court (dude is 6'6 and 220) that solves that potential problem.
