Dwayne Wade isn't a big SG.

He is bigger than bradley than Bradley.  And he probably the most physical SG in the game right?
He's a short SG, undersized just like Bradley. Not an example of the potential disadvantage that can be created if the opposition goes big.

Playing Tracy McGrady at the 2 (like Atlanta did) or just having a big SG who shoots over the top (Hayward).
Wade is 6'4 220 which is sorta "undersized" as is... Bradley is 6'2 180 which is tiny for a SG.  Jason Terry (same size as Bradley) was considered a pretty decent defender early in his career too... but the fact is he was too small to contain most SG's and not a PG... so he's spent most of his (successful) career playing off the bench.

Not taking anything away from what Bradley did against Wade in the two games in April... but Bradley had the element of surprise working for him (he was playing his first games ever as a starter) and Wade was battling ankle and knee injuries that prevented him from playing many games that month... including games right after and before his boston games.  He still managed to score 15 and 20 in those games... and finished the month averaging 17.   That wasn't Wade at his best.  Still... nice block.

I seriously doubt that Bradley has not gotten bigger since his rookie year. He looks to have added more bulk to his frame. I'd be very surprised if he was lighter than 190 at the moment.

Also, you do realize that Joe Johnson is one of the best post player from the SG position in the NBA? Every player in the league (except probably Lebron) has bad match-ups. Bradley can guard 90% of all SG's in the league, Johnson and Turner just happened to be 2 of the 10%

I just realized Tyreke Evans is only 22 years old.  If we landed Drummond with the #5 pick and he turned into anywhere near the player he potentially could be... that would be pretty solid return for Rondo.  Just not sure who would play PG in that scenario.  ANyhow... unlikely to happen so whatever.

Agreed as well.  Danny was tied pretty strongly to Evans when he was drafted, and he's supposedly in love with Harrison Barnes this year.  Clearly, with some of the players we've worked out, Danny thinks he has the firepower to move up.

So...  I guess Rondo for Evans + #5 isn't completely out of the question.

Yeah, this is one of those hypothetical trades where, in two years if you proposed the same thing, it could either be a Kings' fan pipe dream, or a Celtics' fan's delusion.  Would it shock anybody if, in two years, Evans + Barnes / Drummond looks like a spectacular return for Rondo?  Or, a terrible one?

Evans is a SG sized player that is more comfortable playing the 1. While is Bradley is a PG sized player that is more comfortable playing off the ball. So that part makes sense.

Would have to have Cousins in this trade before I would consider it.

Nope but if you could do this deal and bring in Nash as a FA would you? Hypothetically let's say you do this trade and draft a Barnes/Drummond. Sign KG, Ray, and Nash to two year deals so they align with Pierce. You arguably have the best mix of youth and veterans in the league.

Vets - Nash, KG, Ray, Pierce
Youth - Tyreke, Bradley, Green, and 5th pick.

Talk about a bridge to the future.

as much as i love rondo and watching him play, i make this deal.  nbadraft.net has mkg going five to the kings.  that's evans and mkg for rondo.  sign me up.  bradley shifts to pg, a position he can play and has played.

Don't have anything hard, but my friend who works for Fox sports says that he is hearing Rondo to the Sacramento Kings Rumors.  Nothing specific as of yet, but I wanted to throw it out there.

1) FWIW, which Fox Sports region are we talking about, New England or one out in Cali?

2) I do like the idea popping up of a 3-way trade that sends Rondo to the Kings, Evans and picks to the Magic, Howard to Boston, and then we try to get Deron. Assuming the rumor is true, it only says "Rondo to the Kings"; it doesn't say what Boston gets, or if other teams would be involved.

Remember, ESPN ultimately backed that the Celtics were infact interested in Gasol (and that the Lakers simply declined) when everyone swore on their lives that the rumor never existed.

And at the end of the day...it's still just a rumor.

Gilkrest and tyreke could end up being busts in the nba...while we know that Rondo is already an all-star just about to enter his prime.

Bradley CANNOT play point guard...he thrives off the ball letting Rondo set him up for open shots/layups

doesnt matter because this rumor really has no basis and I feel that the only way Danny trades rondo is if its for an upgrade....which Tyreke/barnes are no guarantees to be so.
