as much as i love rondo and watching him play, i make this deal.  nbadraft.net has mkg going five to the kings.  that's evans and mkg for rondo.  sign me up.  bradley shifts to pg, a position he can play and has played.

Gilkrest and tyreke could end up being busts in the nba...while we know that Rondo is already an all-star just about to enter his prime.

Bradley CANNOT play point guard...he thrives off the ball letting Rondo set him up for open shots/layups

doesnt matter because this rumor really has no basis and I feel that the only way Danny trades rondo is if its for an upgrade....which Tyreke/barnes are no guarantees to be so.

don't think evans will be a bust.  he's already been the roy and mvp of the rookie challenge.  mkg, maybe, on never knows with draft picks.

I would've stopped after ROY. All star events are of little imortance.  ;)

Don't have anything hard, but my friend who works for Fox sports says that he is hearing Rondo to the Sacramento Kings Rumors.  Nothing specific as of yet, but I wanted to throw it out there.

Yes because FOX is know for Factual reporting...

But it could hold some truth. Its rumored that they did work out Barens and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

You fix your scoring with Evans, but not sure about his heart. Thats one thing about Rondo is he just competes at a high level, and the passing in a shooters league is hard to find.

But if it does happen not sure KG comes back, and that means Ray doesn't come back, which means we trade PP and we become the Kings for a couple years....

I don't know why people have Bradley moving to the point, Evans would run it, and AB would be SG, it has happened when the Pg was bigger than the SG, Magic? Harper for the Bulls was at least the same height as Jordan. Just because you play point doesn't mean you have to guard the smallest guy on the court.

So I guess we'll find out in a couple days if we are making an other run or rebuilding. Or could be both, who the heck knows with DA pulling triggers left and right.

Tyreke/Cousins (either or), + 5th pick for Rondo sounds pretty good.

BUT, do we really want to trade Rondo away? In my honest opinion, with Rose going down with the ACL injury, he will never be the same. Deron Williams on the other hand might go to the Mavs (or the Mavs are pursuing him). I honestly think Rondo can be a superstar and the face of this franchise.

Overall, though Evans or Cousins + 5th pick sounds appealing, but I rather keep Rondo

That's actually a pretty interesting idea, though I really don't want anything to do w/ Evans. But if you could start with Lowry and then add good pieces w/ it I'd listen.

Evans would be a great sixth man. I like Rondo way more then Lowry, but Lowry is a very solid player on a great contract. Him and Gortat may be the best non-rookie deals out there.

Let me 1st say I don't like thIs trade idea, and I don't believe the rumor is true.

However, let's just play along. Rondo to sactown for #5 pick and tyreke Evans. The C's could draft Barnes or some stud guard. By trading rondo, they free up cap space to go after Javelle McGee. To top this off they sigh J.Kidd as a free agent. If you think about it, that's not a bad haul. With that scenario, the C's still have 2 first round picks to go after PJ3 and maybe Harkless.

The problem with this scenario is if the C's trade Rondo, is KG as inclined to comeback?

I think you could argue the guy you'd be trading away has the best non-rookie deal out there.

I do think that Evans could excel as a 6th man, still in this theoretical trade I'd prefer to move Evans for something else.

Am I the only person here who thinks SAC would never do Tyreke AND the 5th overall pick for Rondo in what's considered a talent heavy draft?  There'd have to be something of more value going the other way too to make it reasonable, perhaps Bradely.

It's well known that KG and Rondo did not get along in the initial years.  Not sure how things have gone since. Obviously they'll say the right things to the press.  I've kind of been wondering if KG's return is dependant on Rondo going out, and some talent in that still makes the team competitive.  It's no secret Ainge has dangled Rondo out there on more than one occasion. Why would you do that to a guy you think is your centerpiece for the future?

When's the last time you heard Rose, Durant, Love rumors?  There would be no DH12 rumors if he were happying in ORL.

If I made the trade, Tyreke + #5 for Rondo, I would be more inclined to go down the high risk high reward rode with Andre Drummond.

Drummond would be very important to that plan (next Andrew Bynum? well, at least that would be the hope) and I wouldn't be willing to sacrifice him for Lowry and mid-first round pick.

Tyreke Evans would be a fairly risky proposition himself too. Take a chance on acquiring and developing two guys who can become high level stars down the road. Rather than one (Tyreke), a quality starter (Lowry) and a role player (#16).

First, I definitely do Rondo for TE+#5.  Both T-Evans and the #5 are risks but it is two chances to strike it rich so to speak.

But then to trade TE + #5, #22, #21 for Dwight Howard?  Why not just trade Rondo + #21 and #22 for Howard?  The reason is that Orlando would likely rather have TE + #5 than Rondo as would most anyone I would think.

I would to this but like the Portland option too but I see the most likely deal being Rondo + #21 for Portland #6 + #11 + Batum (or someone).

If we did do the Sac deal, I see Bradley starting as PG, Pierce as SG, Green as SF, and then Evans getting big minutes off the bench.
