I'm a "big" fan of just standing pat with our picks and trying to land two good, young and solid contributors off the bench.
We need to round out our depth of young players who can jet up and down the floor with Rondo.
Right now we've got JJJ, Bass, Jeff Green (I do expect him to sign with us), Moore (I'd like to keep him) and Avery Bradley.
I wouldn't mind adding to that any of the following:
Plumlee, Ezeli, Melo
O'Quinn, Moultrie, White, Nicolson
Harkless, Taylor, Green, Joseph
Ross, Lamb, Jenkins...
I'd rather sink my cap space into a coupe max money starters and use this draft to build depth for a couple years down the road when Rondo is around 28.
I'm also nervous about trading 2-1, if you miss on that one guy, you're done.
I wouldn't give up JJJ - think he has a lot of upside in an uptempo team with Rondo leading the break. Also a lot of potential as a weak side defender with his lateral quickness as a big man. His combination of speed and quick leaping ability isn't that common for a guy 6'11".
I'd give him another year, a full summer league, a full training camp and 12 months in the gym before I'd set him loose.
