This makes no sense. Ive played competitive sports all my life and ive never once bumped a ref out of frustration. Getting mad at a call and showing your emotions is one thing, and thats acceptable... But the ref made the call, how is Rondo going to change it by following the ref after already recieving a technical. Show your emotion, get your tech, and be done with it.
I've played and coached this game for decades. Been ejected from games as a coach.
There is zero excuse for touching an official. Ever. Anything else is just a silly alibi that falls on deaf ears.
Rondo got off easy with a one-game suspension, and he richly deserved it.
And he got off easy again last night when his teammates played with the character and composure he badly failed to display in Game 1. Along with the apology he owes them for his conduct, he owes them some sincere gratitude for bailing his immaturity out.
