Whoever is all over Rondo for the bump must never have played sports

That foul call was atrocious.. It's a live ball that everyone was aggressively going at. There was contact of course, but it was inadvertant and it should have been a jumpball.

That ref, whatever his name is, the bald guy; made way too many calls against the Celtics.. I think there was a no call a couple plays before where Rondo clearly got fouled that Rondo got after him for too.. When that same guy made the foul call on a clear jump ball, Rondo of course had had enough..

I'm not mad at Rondo for bumping into him.. He knew he was going to get tossed, but whatever, that call cost us a chance at a comeback.. which i really felt was going to happen after that miraculous baseline jumper by Pierce on 2 defenders.. I doubt Rondo gets suspended for it.. Its not like he socked the Ref in the mouth.. which is what I would've done.. but then again, I'm not a professional..

Oh come on, Bass bumped from behind, wrapped him up and fell on top of him.  It doesn't matter if it's a loose ball or not, it's a foul.

The foul was called way after Bass jumped on top of Smith.. It was called when they were wrestling for the ball.. He should have called the foul on Bass when he was actually on top of Smith if he was going to call it at all

I'd say it's a bit of both in terms of the blame.

The refs should not have made the [dang] game all about his [dang] self in the first place. They should be impartial. I'm really tired of how the [dang] refs are actually a factor and such a big one at the. I've just about had it sometimes.

On the other hand, Roy is right. Rondo should have channeled his emotions into the game. He's a professional. But this would not have been the case if the refs would just do their gosh [dang] job. This isn't even the worst though. The Knicks game was apparently horrendous.

Trouble is, it's not the refs' responsibility to keep Rondo from blowing his cool.

Yeah - instead of the refs determining who wins or loses, the players should determine it, by getting themselves suspended and seriously hurting their team's chance to win, all by themselves.  Rondo is just standing up for freedom.

If you were being sarcastic with your original comment i couldn't tell. And my apologies. I thought you were being serious. And it just reminded me of Latrell so i had to reference him lol.

In all honesty though i think the NBA needs to take a look at Mark Davis. As numerous posters have already pointed out he was a part of the crew at the end of the regular season hawks game that looked very suspect.

And i dont have dvr but im really wondering if he was the same ref who got in Pierce's way on that corner three in the first half. Why was he there? You gotta give the players some breathing room to operate. That embodies the theory of a ref makeing himself a part of the game.

He's not determining it.  David Stern is determining it.  A real commishioner would suspend the ref and Rondo for acting out of order.
