Commish was thinking the same thing, and next season it's gonna be modified snake.

Maybe something after four rounds makes sense, like Edgar said.  However, in general the best teams are still going to be the ones who got the best combos up front, with the San Antonio travesty being the exception.  Anything that gives the best teams even more of an advantage seems like a bad idea to me.  I mean, who needs the help more, Miami, LA, and OKC, or Toronto, Washington, and New Orleans?

There's a reason that real sports drafts aren't snake drafts:  the worst teams need the most help, in every round.  I understand my fellow staff members are feeling the bite of picking late, but going to a snake draft just puts the have-nots of the league further into the toilet.

I honestly did a massive double take when I saw how far down the Spurs fell.

Boston is a tough team.  Me personally, I probably would have kept Pierce and Rondo, and then tried to trade Rondo for a 1st rounder plus other picks.  You could still end up with a Pierce/KG combo, plus have additional draft picks to fill out the team.

I think Indiana's 5th rounder is 5.7, not 5.18. My mistake, I think I wrote 5.18 in the message.

I'm going to reserve judgment until I see who Indiana ends up with here.
