::) kid is 21 years old.

I really like AB on D but you guys gotta stop talking about his age!!! You act like a dime a dozen young guys in the nba cant play O! I see guys as young and younger not using that excuse, why does AB get to?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

His defense is not bad at all and he plays hard.   But he doesn't  shoot well at all.  There are plenty of 21 years old guys who can shoot so age is no excuse.  I think he has a place on our team but I think Moore is already a better player.

Avery should have spent more time in school.  It would have helped his game a lot.

To be fair, Bradley's offensive game is predicated on his jump shot.  When it's not falling it's going to be ugly.

He's shot it well enough in the past (college, D-League) for me not to be too concerned.

Right now Moore is the much better offensive player.  His ball-handling is much better developed and his shot is falling.

Basically, I think this is the biggest problem for Bradley right now.  Even if he DOES have potential...he hasn't shown any more potential than Moore.  Moore has a polished offensive game, AND good defense AND at least 3" on Bradley.  Why give minutes to Bradley, when Moore could have the same minutes, and give the team what it needs...bench scoring.

Bradley got 3 steals, so he attracted a lot of attention, but Moore got 1 steal, 4 rebounds, and drew more fouls than any other celtic player.

Bradley has some good defense, but i still think he looks lost out there. 1-10 is pretty bad...but maybe hes just streaky like Nate robinson??

either way,

Moore doesnt really look like a rookie..hes calm and cool and the kid has a nice offensive game...he can stroke it from deep, and hes played pretty solid defense. Id like to see him get the nod over Bradley to back up Ray. like a younger eddie house

I just think its premature passing judgement on such a young player. And calling him garbage is uncalled for. Give him more time to develop his skills before we make a broad judgement. Avery is project right now.

i would absolutely love to see anyone on this site at 21 years old have the mental fortitude to play at the NBA level and not have to shake off some nerves. Youre criticizing a kid for god sakes.  He plays absolutely phenomenal defense. He will always have a place in this league if his defense stays where its at.  Look at Tony Allen all he does is play defense and slash.  We missed him sorely last year and Memphis loves him being there.  Incredible that youre going to write this kid off after 2 preseason games where he looked miles better than he did at any point last year.
The NBA..where "this whole sport is a business and the referees decide games and David Stern is a snake and is only in this for the money" happens.

Bradley looked really, really good on defense tonight. he didn't get his shot going, but he was confident and showed no hesitation to get his shot off. the tools are there, and his instincts and hands on defense are already elite when compared to any NBA player.  people love to say they appreciate defense, but when a kid like Avery comes along people write him off immediately because of one bad shooting night.

did you guys see his steals tonight? they were unreal!

I wouldn't give up on the possibility that Bradley will become useful until he is in the league longer than it took DeShawn Stevenson to become useful (and, arguably, Stevenson has never really been a good player).  The bad news is that Stevenson came straight out of high school and took three years before he had a season where he didn't have negative win shares and probably a bit longer before he could reasonably be called mediocre.  He may have gotten playing time, but the numbers suggest he's never been even an average player except for a few months in 2010-2011.

I believe that Bradley is more likely to become a better player than Stevenson than to never get that good, but it will probably be a few years before we find out which possibility is the truth.

Yeah, but keep in mind that most folks on here think they could do a better job at GMing than Danny Ainge, that Bill Belichick is a hack, and that Terry Francona was a joke.
Celtics fan for life.

he still could be good, but at this point I think Moore is the guy to go to as the backup shooting guard off the bench and he showed that tonight

his defense may not be as good as bradleys but its adequate and his offense is MUCH more polished. He's making that open 3 plus he makes better decisions. I think he could be a suprise this year
