I saw that too, and the reptilian/conspiratorial side of my brain immediately thought: a Green-for-Hayes swap?

It's taking so long because theyve had to retest the initial sample to make sure and it's shrouded in red tape and secrecy because Danny only wants to make it public at the right time.

I really doubt that is the case.  If it was, it wouldn't be the team holding him out.  It would be the league, and there wouldn't be this limbo. 

The league has a pretty efficient system for this stuff, and they wouldn't hold a player out of practices while they are retesting.

Surely the league wouldn't get involved if it was just coke or amphetamines.....

Why would I need to review the leagues policy? If they find traces of these drugs then its obviously pretty serious, and would require some length of deliberation and discussion with the league, and re testing.

Guys, I think the speculation is foolish...  I remember vividly the Reggie Lewis saga - how his wife, Donna, got involved, and it was everything from heart issues to drug issues to vertigo / dizziness.  The reality is we don't know, so we're all shooting in the dark on this...

Well, whatever's going on with him, I pray for his well-being.

I'm also glad that Danny brought back Marquis Daniels. It's good to have insurance at the 2 and 3 spots.
