If he's down, would we qualify for the injury exception? Allowing us to sign a player like Richard Jefferson to replace him?
Can't stop, Rondo!

I dont get it though...wat can jeff green have? Its got ti be heart issues oure something serious. He was out shooting a few days ago and saying hes fine..

Hopefully its not as bad as it seems
IMO, it's got to be heart or lungs if it showed up on the stress test. Most likely heart, and it is probably a very good thing that it showed up when it did or we could have been facing another Reggie Lewis type situation down the road.  OTOH, the bad news for the Celtics is that Green probably isn't going to be playing basketball any time soon.

Yeah the fact he said it's based on perspective tells me that he won't be playing basketball anymore, but that he caught early enough that he will be able to live a long life.

Danny Ainge said some results in on Jeff Green. Good or bad? "All based on perspective. But I really don’t want to talk about that."

oh boy.  that doesn't sound good at all.

"all based on perspective" to me, sounds like "well, he can't play for a while / this year / ever again, but at least he's okay and not in any immediate medical danger; that's what really matters."

Ainge later added however, "But seriously this blows. It like, completely Blounts up my plans this season, especially at the 3. Could've let us know before we traded Von Wafer."

If it is the stress test failed would they allow him to play, and try and maybe put him on meds antidepressants or something?

I'm thinking that's what it is.....

anti-depressants?  he didn't fail a "stress" test, like he's too stressed out and sad to play basketball full time or something.

The celts are being so mysterious on this, I wonder if Jeff failed some drug related testing and they are waiting on follow up testing to confirm a positive hit.

Jeff seems like an upstanding guy but you never know.

He's coming out to practices and shooting around and stuff.  I can't imagine he would be cleared to do even that if it was heart related.

Let's hope it was none of the above and Jeff was just stressed out during the first go round of tests.

A "stress" test is a test of the heart.

yeah, the idea is to put your heart under stress (e.g. heavy exercise), because when it's working harder it's easier to detect abnormalities.

I think they are being mysterious, because they don't want to be putting this guys personal medical information out there, particularly before they even have all the results back.

i think you're right, but i don't think it's unreasonable for celtics fans to be really wary in response to this secrecy . . . in the past few seasons when the celtics have been dodgy about a player's injuries / health, it usually ends up with us being told, much later, that the player is out for the rest of the season (kg's knee, shaq's achilles).
