Wow.

Good for him.  And great for Danny by not only dodging that bullet, but also getting a replacement for him.

Lol, we got the better player in the deal and dodged the BBD payout. Well done Danny and yes Otis Smith does need to be put out of his misery. I really do feel for Orlando fans.

hopefully it doesn't hinder JJJ's development. I think the kid will be special player.
Agreed, I was hoping JJJ could have gotten a large bulk of KG's bench time.

Does 150% rule apply to us, or is someone else coming in Boston from Magic?

Ah, right, so they could get below the tax line and use the 150% matching method.  Perhaps with some Base year compensation in there as well.

We are bringing back less salary than we sent out, so we are all set.

And I believe a ~$2M trade exception as well.

I'm happy for baby getting his $.  I'll be even happier if D12 leaves and baby becomes a primary scorer, so we can see what his potential really is.

Either way, props to Danny for dodging that contract and getting a great substitute at the same time.

Good riddance, Baby! Take your blocked layups and three-pointers to where it's hot and humid.

But really, he had his moments here. I just wouldn't want him long-term. Bass should bring some rebounding to a team in dire need of it.

Holy crap.  For this reason and the headcase reasons that Chris pointed out, this is a tremendous trade.
