trade hasn't happened yet...indeed...but it seems it is going to happen for someone and not boston..boston has offered like 8 different ones to NO...just think danny needs to refocus on the guys he has and rounding out the bench..

-we still need a LEGIT back up center for the aging JO
-we still need to do something with davis and green
-we still need to figure out if bradley is worth anything to this team
-and to me signing a bunch of marquis daniels type players will not make boston a legit contender in the east

Every time this comes up that they like another team better, it has fell through.

GS and Clipper will not give up certain players.  Boston best offer.

Houston can't get a deal to get Paul but if he goes the LA, their players are good enough for NO.  But Boston still has the best offer.

NO is trying to drive up the price.

but what else do they want from boston? boston has offered pretty much everything they can....
How about $3 million....the most a team can give out in any year in a deal and Boston is reluctant.

ugh..when does danny say enough..we are keeping rondo, resigning green and S and T glen davis?

Green will not get more then the qualifying offer from Boston unless it is part of trade.

And it is not just Boston's offer they are trying to drive up.  I am sure they would love for the Clippers and Warriors to reenter the discussion.

I said it yesterday, if no one decided to gift the Lakers stars again, they will be screwed for a while.

Looks like it is going to happen again though. Seriously, can we move the City of Boston down South and make it warm? We would get everyone to pick us then.

Its called multitasking. People do it in business all the time.

Do you really believe Danny is working on the Paul trade and nothing else?

To do the Paul trade he has to be speaking to Green's agent about contract numbers for the sign and trade.

To do the Paul trade he has to be speaking to Davis' agent to be getting an idea of his contract demands if NO asks for him as part of the sign and trade instead of Green.

He has already secured Daniels and is rumored to have sent out an offer to Delonte West. I am also sure he has been talking to Johnson's and Morre's agents as both are expected at camp tomorrow as is that kid from Pittsburgh.

Yes, in a heart beat.

No team is going to offer him more then the MLE as a free agent.

Wait, Boston is fine letting Rondo, Green, Draft picks and everyone but the big 3 go....yet they won't offer up a measly 3 million that doesn't count against the cap?

Seriously, who can I send my donation to, in order to help them out.

Sometime after 2 pm tomorrow, when he actually can sign Green and sign and trade Davis.

Because you are now limited as to how much money you can include in trades per year. In past years sending money was no objection for the C's but if they want to "buy" a player later in the year, like they have in the past, they can't do it if they give their entire year's money allotment away to NO.

Again, this is just a theory trying to figure out what else NO could be looking for from Boston.

The sad thing is, with the crazy numbers being thrown around, you can't guarantee that.

Around the time we traded for Green, his agent said something about having passed on a $10M per year extension. I don't think he'll look back on that day fondly.
