I'd prefer Stuckey.  I don't see RJ getting better than last year, and I'm not sold on Bledsoe.

I like Jefferson more as a real-life player than a fantasy one, I guess.

I knew it would take some heat on this one.  I like stuckey as well which is why i traded for him in the first place, but I think getting two contributers now that we know we are having a season is important.

I was looking for a 2-1 trade so that I wouldnt be depending on one of Shaq, Bibby, or benson to contribute this season.

That being said, Shaq, Bibby and Benson are on the block!

Taking offers on Aaron Brooks. Not a fire sale, and I may keep him in the end, but I do have a deal out there waiting for someone else to accept and thought I would check to see what other people may offer.

Once again someone makes a good deal then flips the guy for less. Joe Johnson, David West, now Stuckey. I'll say it again, we need a trade cap. Also just seeing players traded three, four times before the season even starts makes my head spin.

This is an okay trade, but could've waited two weeks. A lot of chatter that the Spurs will release R.J. using the new amnesty clause, to make a run at a near-max free agent next offseason, in which case his value is up in the air. I'd much rather have Stuckey. But I do like Bledsoe a role player that should still contribute some fantasy value. And I'm sure Jefferson will be on the move again shortly.

That's what the waiver wire is for.

You should hang on to him. You're going to lose every week this season anyway, and aren't going to get equal value for a guy that's stuck overseas until March.

I think we will have to wait and see, I think I will get the better of this deal in the short term and see the value from Bledsoe long term

I am bored, so here r my thoughts on the deal.

Stuckey is a bit of a knucklehead. He's extremely talented, but he should be better than what he is. Maybe it was that terrible coach in Detroit that held him back? Maybe.

Regardless, Detroit drafted his replacement in Knight. His upside is limited if he resigns with the Pistons.

There is some talk on whether he will end up at the SG position. Most likely, he'll end up as a bench / Crawford / Terry type player on another team. Maybe with the Suns now that Brooks is playing in the CBA.

RJ is not too much past 30 and IMO can still be pretty good if he can escape SA.

Bledsoe is backing up Moe Williams for a couple of years, which  means he will normally get 15-20 minutes per game and 15-20 starts (when Moe is injured) and do ok.

I guess I would prefer Stuckey b/c of his talent, but it's not a bad trade either way.

Trades should not be capped. This offseason is the exception, not the rule. I expect next year to fall back inline with the normal offseason trade activity.

I have MMSBs 2nd rounder. Looking to trade it for a consistently productive player. Obviously not a star guy, but someone who can be effective in a couple categories.

PM with offers.

Looking to package the pick with Sam Young for a better player. Young is nice prospect who produced well after Gay went out.

trades awaiting approval:

Toine's Boys send Nick Collison to Webskins for Joel Przybilla and the naturals #2

Toine's Boys send Matt Bonner, Nate the Great, and the naturals #2(top 38 protected, ie if Roy misses the finals then I keep the pick) for Kyle Singler

a little added incentive to see someone stop the naturals from making it to the finals ;D

TP to Roy for the smooth sell on Singler.

Wow.  Totally did not see that one coming.  Looks like I lucked out, and hopefully HP can wait out Singler's return.

At least it shows Singler is valued; Real Madrid is no joke when it comes to evaluating talent.

Full report:

Kyle Singler(notes), the 33rd overall pick in the June NBA draft, is nearing an agreement with Real Madrid and won’t play for the Detroit Pistons this season, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Singler, a forward out of Duke, will sign a contract for the remainder of the season in the Spanish ACB League, replacing the Dallas Mavericks’ Rudy Fernandez(notes) on the Real Madrid roster.

After an outstanding showing with Alicante in the same league – where he averaged a team-leading 15 points on 47 percent shooting – Singler decided to take the Real Madrid offer on Tuesday. A combination of his comfort level in Spain and a salary higher than that of most second-round draft picks convinced him to finish the season there, sources said.

The Pistons have been high on Singler, even sending front-office staff to scout him in Spain this season. Nevertheless, NBA rules prohibited general manager Joe Dumars and coach Lawrence Frank from talking to Singler or his agents. They can’t counter any offer until the NBA lifts restrictions on Dec. 9. Detroit has been willing to commit to playing younger players in its rebuilding drive, and Singler might have had a chance to crack the rotation. Detroit retains Singler’s rights for the 2012-13 season when he is expected to come to the NBA.

I feel a bit badly for his Spanish club.  They give him a chance, he plays well there, and then exercises an opt out that is only there because it's expected Singler will go back to the NBA.  He then passes on the NBA to sign with a different Spanish club for a higher salary.

Good times. I look forward to Roy picking up Singler as an F.A. next season.

You dealt those guys for a mid-second rounder that you could've picked up off the waiver wire and the chance to add a player that won't help you next season.
