Wow, the fantasy basketball talk has really dropped now that we have real basketball news. So this is what it's like when there is no lockout, I had forgotten!

Here's some real talk, Donatas Motiejunas's dad is telling reporters he'll play out the season with Prokom.

Can someone fill me in on why Motiejunas is so highly-regarded?  I had barely heard his name before the draft but a few owners were really big on him apparently.

He's a legit 7 footer. You can't teach height, just ask Shawn Bradley.

Seriously, during one of his predraft workouts, he dribbled around two of Yi's chairs and dunked on a third.

There's no way he would have dunked on that third chair if it had been made in America.

Three times more chair-dominant than Yi?!?!?  Impossible!  (tp  :))

great, I'm glad another one of my top prospects will get enough pt to develop since there is no training camp and the season is too short to earn any here  ;D

2 down, 14 to go. ;)

3? I kid, I kid, with so few F.A. centers available, I expect the money will talk.

Wait, Aaron Brooks makes 4. Maybe we need to start discussing a minimum active players #?

Quote
“I don’t need the money, and I have never played for the money,’’ Przybilla said. “I just want to play basketball, but it has to be the right situation.’’

With a blue-collar work ethic and a tough-guy persona on the court, Przybilla was a fan-favorite in Portland and a leader in the locker room. The Blazers need help on the front line as they prepared to open the Dec. 9 training camp with Marcus Camby and Chris Johnson as their centers, and an $8.9 million qualifying offer hanging in the balance with Greg Oden. When he was traded by Portland in February, Przybilla insinuated that it might not be the last time he put on a Blazers uniform, Reports have also surfaced that Milwaukee would be interested in his services.

On Wednesday, he didn’t tip his hat on his preferred destinations.

“Obviously, Milwaukee and Portland would be convenient,’’ Przybilla said. “But I can’t give you a straight answer, because I just don’t know what I’m going to do.’’

You love to pile on, don't you? Maybe stick to your team for a change.

It's getting annoying now..at least to me. "That's a horrible trade"..."Another laugher"..."My offer was better"..."I could have beaten that offer"...Seriously guys, give it a break once in a while...or make your own deals and show others what a good deal is.

I'm ok with all the bashing, I firmly believe in the guys that I will wait on. Only time will tell if I was right or not, at least we have the NBA again and we will get to see eventually. I'm really high on Montiejunas, he can be as productive as Dirk in 3-4 years, and Brooks has already had a borderline all-star season.

Assuming this is a serious proposal, I wouldn't want to put that restriction on GMs.  Part of this league is waiting on prospects, and whether those prospects are in the NBA vs. D-League vs. Europe / China doesn't make a lot of difference to me.

Sure, but you never think of my feelings when we talk trades. "He's too old." "He's washed up." "He's got one foot in the grave."  Yes, that last one is a BareFacedMonk quote. ;)

But I'll keep it down.

Anyway, hat tip to Hpantazo for having thick skin. He should certainly feel free to celebrate when my starters start retiring.

I'm trying to guess who BFM was talking about, but so many players on your roster fit that description.  :D

Yeah, I should have kept quiet and taken Grant Hill. ::)

Look, you and GC feel every player on your roster is a LeBron James or a Dwight Howard. And if someone rejects your offer they get a LONG explanation how you were going to take a loss on the trade, how it makes your team worse but you're still willing to do it (thanks..not looking for charity), how you're a contender and that I would be messing up your team etc etc. I've received plenty of low ball offers (and I'm sure others have felt I was low balling them) but I don't come out here in public and cry about it if something falls through..and nor do I go overboard and criticize every [dang] trade that takes place.

Ah, Grant Hill.  See, I was leaning toward Raja Bell.

Just for the record, if anybody wants to take a loss on a trade, I'm not above accepting charity.  8)

Half right, Hobbs. Raja Bell was the player with "one foot in the grave."

And to the DDs' esteemed rivals the DDs', I want to assure you my complaining above was tongue-in-cheek.
