Kinda dissapointed there wasnt more reaction to our blockbuster, but i guess that means it was a fair deal!

I think everybody is just scared that the 2287s are turning into a contender before their eyes.

Or that it was announced at 9:45 pm  :-\

Or that reaction has been generally frowned upon  8)

Personally I think it's a very fair deal, but I much prefer Designated Drinkers' side.... that may be that I'm not a big Bynum fan (b/c of the constant risk of injury), and that I *am* a fan of Bledsoe's upside and Blatche (as a fantasy player, not in real life).

It was definitely a matter of weighing Bynum's injurys and Blatche's situation/knuckelheadedness

My worry about Blatche is that the league will someday wake up and realize that, while talented, playing him hurts a team more than it helps it.  Guys like that can quickly find themselves going 15 shot attempts per game to 7 or 8.  He's got great production, though, and maybe he'll "get it" like Zach Randolph did.

I think Rondo probably sold high on Blatche, and bought low on Bynum a bit.  Bynum is better than the 11 points and 9 rebounds he put up last year.  He's got as much upside as any player in the entire NBA, relative to his current production.  At the same time, he's missed 17+ games in 5 of his 6 seasons, so who knows?

It won't shock me if, in 3 years, we're calling this a steal for Rondo, or a steal for BFM, or an even deal.  It's one of the very few trades that can go either way.

And Bynum is already suspended for 5 games this season right?  So that will boost BFM's returns this year from the get go.

My roster is just about set --- i'll wait till the deadline to officially cut down (esp. b/c we're always workin the phones  ;D). 3 guys that are most available:

Greivis Vasquez PG
Reggie Williams SG/SF
Kenyon Martin PF

If there's a rebuilding team that has the time & patience (i.e. Jan-Mar) to wait for Kenyon Martin to return, shoot me an offer. I believe he will be a good fantasy trade deadline add for a fantasy playoff team (which is why I may just end up keeping him).

Not looking to break the bank, but would like a useful rotation player (of any position).

I think Kenyon is going to come back from China in April and be a coveted FA for a contending team (Boston?). Unlike guys like PJ Brown though he will be in shape from playing in China.

Another trade is in the works..

I hope it includes Barea, Beaubois and/or Shawne Williams.... since that would mean (by my count) that outside of Lebron BFM's entire team will have turned over.... awesome!

(By my count all but 4 guys on the Webskins are also new to the team: James Posey, Semih Erden, Joel Anthony, Derrick Brown)

I give big props to our (four?) new GMs for being real proactive this (longer than usual) offseason. I look forward to wheelin-and-dealin with y'all for years to come!

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Scola, Randolph, Derozan, Lowry, Millsap all on the block today. Because, hell, why not?

Edit - I'm only looking for 1-1 or 2-2 trades, not interested in two nickels for a dime unless you've got something really interesting in the works.

CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Another deal to announce:

Designated Drinkers send Glen Davis, Brandon Rush, Make Me Some Bacon's 2012 1st rounder, and Lucky17's and Webskins' 2012 2nd rounders
Toine's Boys send Nick Young, Gordon Hayward, and Designated Drinkers' 2012 1st rounder

Alot of moving parts here, Nick young is the best player, but who knows if he is more than just a chucker on a bad team?

BBD's stock is up in the air until he signs and gets a role, but he could be good for like 12ppg and 5rpg

I think Hayward and Rush are a wash, but Toines boys continues to stock pile picks in a strong draft.

I'll be honest that I don't know if I'd have the guts/patience to do it but I gotta admire Toine's Boys' going all in on the next draft.

(And according to my notes, only Luke Babbit returns from last year's TB team).

He'll likely have 2 of the top 4 picks, a late 1st, and four 2nd rounders... a whopping 7 picks! (Plus Kyle Singler and Motiejunas coming back from Europe).

Nick Young is the best player in the deal, and Hayward has the most upside in my mind.  That's a good return for the Drinkers, especially when they've previously noted they had no intention of holding on to Rush.

Now, MMSB's pick *should* be the best pick in the deal, but remember that we have a lottery system.  There's a chance that DD's pick could be better than MMSB's.  I would have gone with the good ole "right to swap #1s" here, to guard against that possibility.
