It seems funny to see Mike Tyson's numbers going up up up on the villain list.  I think he is trying to rehabilite his image by going on the talk show circuit ...and they are allowing it!   I haven't been following his story, but evidently he has a wife and baby again....(I find that thought scary...)

Hey Roy.  Your profile pic looks like Rick Adelman.  Is that a good guess?

Full Disclosure: I've been trying my darndest to have a racist end up in the worst ten and as close to being voted the worst villain as possible. That's why I've been going after Ty Cobb, John Rocker, and Marge Schott.

To vote for Cobb would be a lost cause at this point. If I keep voting for Schott and Rocker, that could split my vote. I am thus going to lobby for people to vote for Marge or at least don't vote her down.

The Case for Marge Schott as a Villain

Yeah, she did some good stuff with her money. I don't want to get into a class conflict debate but will mention that those with a lot can give a lot and get tax deductions to boot.

Top 10 Worst Bosses

Quote
It takes a certain kind of boss to offend employees repeatedly and en masse. Marge Schott, known for her incendiary comments, was just that kind of boss. Schott was the CEO and president of the Cincinnati Reds from 1984 to 1999, and during that time she alienated many employees with her reported slurs against African Americans, homosexuals and Asians. She allegedly referred to Reds players using racist or bigoted slang, and her callous response to the midgame heart attack and death of the 1996 opening-day umpire — "Snow this morning and now this. I don't believe it. I feel cheated." — deeply offended league umpires. Schott was suspended for three years in 1996 for, among other things, publicly stating that Adolf Hitler "was good in the beginning, but went too far." She eventually ended up selling her controlling interest in the team in 1999 — likely to the immense relief of players and fans.

Ok.  Gene Hackman.  Thanks.  Anyway, Adelman has a beard.  But I think I can remember Adelman without a beard when he coached the Kings.  And, at that time, he looks sort of like your pic of Gene Hackman.

Thirstyboots, I hope Tyson can turn his life around. However, the list of bad stuff he did is hard to forget. Chewing off Holyfield's ear was only a small part of his transgressions. Sure, he didn't kill anyone like Carruth or the Juice. Murder is probably the worst thing one can do. But those guys might have been involved in crimes of passion. It doesn't absolve them of guilt. Maybe I also would like to see Tyson as the #1 villain, because I respected how fierce he was when he first started out. No one wanted a piece of him. He was destroying people in a round or two. He even showed some boxing skills. If his trainer/manager hadn't died, maybe Tyson could have gone 80-0 and been the greatest heavyweight of all time. It would certainly have been interesting to see him fight Ali with both in their prime. I don't think it's a guarantee Ali wins.

It would be interesting to have one of these for announcers/sportscasters ... Marv Albert would top my list. I turn the sound off and turn on the radio when I can if he's on, though on days when I'm watching on a public TV, (like today), I'm forced to hear his voice when too close to the monitor. :P

That's true. In addition to Marv, there's Jimmy the Greek, Rick Barry, Jim Gray, and probably a lot more. I liked Howard Cosell, but there are plenty of folks who didn't.

Here's an idea. We could always put a time limit on the game, say a month or whenever. The results could then be the order at that point.
